Do you boil it or anything? Or just a handwash in the sink? Is it safe for non-colorfast fabrics? I tried the dye remover last night. Worked well on the white tshirt but completely stripped the dye out of my pink pedal pushers without really removing any of the orange dye that had bled into...- KittyT

This sounds like a good candidate for an Oxyclean soak. A knit item shouldn't have any problems with that, and a good long soak will usually get out yellow stains. I'm at it again! How often do you "set" your hair?
No, I meant at the end of the day, repinning your curls (which you set the night before) and then wrapping it before you go to sleep. Also, try doing a dry set on dirty hair. If I do any type of set, wet or dry, on freshly washed hair, I won't even get an hour out of my set. -

A few more things. Black 50s cardi I picked up for $15 at the Rumblers car show in NYC a few weeks back. Lovely satin covered buttons and beaded collar. I'm pleased to find a cardi with minimal beading. I love the heavily beaded ones but really prefer something plain I can wear every day...- KittyT

#^%#! It's ruined. The lovely light blue linen 50s dress with soutache on the bodice and skirt front. Nice swathes of orange dye all over. I've worn it once. I guess I'll try soaking it again on its own. Anyone ever used dye remover on vintage?- KittyT

How often do you "set" your hair?
Try 100% Lottabody. Many gals here have never had any luck diluting it. Also, have you tried to pin up and wrap your hair before going to bed?
