I'd wear that, the blue favors my eyes.

What I am going to do with my tax refund.

A very good use of your money. :) I, however, had to pay property taxes with mine this year.

What I am going to do with my tax refund.

One of my favorite scenes on the West Wing (which I watched mostly to hurl invective at the screen) was a discussion between one of the staffers and his staffer girlfriend(?) about a tax surplus. The Dem. staffer was trying to figure out what to spend it on and the lady staffer, once she...

Can a man appreciate vintage and be metro?

Hoppes #9 on a woman is better than Chanel #5. Baron, I agree with you on the futility of trying to split up traits. There are differences, but they are all dependent on the individual in expression and so not worth trying to gerneralize to any purpose. I can't remember who posted it...

That's on my list, the Bondurant or the Scotty school.

    Nutty Neighbors

You definitely want to maintain your property lines. Open adverse possession for a length of time can actually result in the line moving. It's fine to leave a fence up if you don't mind it, but make sure you send notification to the neighbor to document you've told them the fence is wrong...

Can a man appreciate vintage and be metro?

Wiki (or whoever wrote that particular article) is flat wrong on how it assigns "traits". Ever seen a bunch of Marines getting ready for an inspection or Birthday Ball? You fight for mirror time and have your buddies wield rulers and tape so you look "just so" in your dress uniforms. You...

Can a man appreciate vintage and be metro?

I doubt that, it would lead to men drinking it, or at the vary least pulling a muscle trying to lick something awkward. I'd say woodsmoke, or cordite. Something that smells nice that doesn't make you hungry or thirsty.

    Handkerchiefs and Pocket Squares

I carry a handkerchief for actual use, regardless of the pocketsquare. It probably started as a colorful way to carry a necessity, but I consider it more like a tie than something for use.

    Don't you mean a "Ladies Man"? :D

    Handkerchiefs and Pocket Squares

Thought I'd use the old search-a-roonie function rather than kick start a new thread. Bought a few (white, black and a multi-color with black, grey/silver, blue and white) the other day while seeking out ties at Burlington coats. Of course I didn't take a picture but my first wear last...

    Sincere apologies to the USA...

From the little I've seen about these new shows, they reflect not "modern Britain" but rather "modern uniformish West Amer-European culture". Which, as several others have pointed out, is just recycled Hollywood and American TV trash with better accents. It's more globalized mediocracy.

Heck, they should have done more than put her on the nose of that bomber in WWII, they should have added her as a waist gunner. :D

    Connery's "Allan Quatermain" Vest

As it is, you could probably undo every other line of stitching and get usable loops. Leather stretches a little, so sizing them for a .30-06 case or a bit tight for 12 ga (so a 20 wouldn't drop through but a 12 would work itself in)would work for most of us.
