    Vintage Heat?

To quote a fellow on The High Road, "If you're likin' Glocks, G-d has abandoned you sinner." :D

    Vintage Heat?

It's only a few hundred bucks for the tax stamp and the cost of the work. Short barreled rifles and shotguns are actually the best deal going on NFA firearms. Me? I want some suppressors. On topic, suppressors were included in the 1934 Nat'l Firearms Act due to politics, called...

    Nutty Neighbors

Much the same as today I expect. Perhaps with a little less litigation. Of course, in the good old days, if the aggrieved party was obviously an "upstanding citizen" and the problem neighbor was not, the local powers-that-be had fewer scruples about fixing the situation.

    The loss of occasion

Just a bad day helo-casting right there. :D pssst - I think there's only a handful of folks who know what we're talking about, and fewer who care. ;)

    "D-Day" by Stephen E. Ambrose

I enjoyed Keegan's 6 Armies in Normandy. He does a good job comparing and contrasting the various armies, their commanders and methods of war. I just read an interesting alternate history called "Disaster at D-Day: The Germans Defeat the Allies, June 1944" by Peter Tsouras. Posits Rommel...

    The loss of occasion

Borderline's a good word for it, Diamond. I enjoy tossing out little jabs like that to get reactions. Which goes far in explaining why I'll probably die alone. :D

    The loss of occasion

Well I understand there's a parking problem, no room on your lawn, and some kind of voodoo injunction going on. :D

    Nutty Neighbors

These are the kind of people that encourage crime and keep insurance rates high. They're the first ones to claim innocent victimhood but refuse to take any personal responsibility for their own safety or well-being. They know better, but rather than face reality and adjust their lives in any...

    What do you look like?

I dunno. My hair changed completely after they took it all off at recruit training in '91. i can't recommend that as a fashion choice though. :D I was wearing a "low reg" military cut at the end of my time in the USMC in Sept. of '04. That photo was taken May of '05. Zero at the hair...

    A light coat for summer...

All I can find are links to eBay auctions but I am really happy with a couple St. John's Bay cotton twill sportcoats I bought at Penney's over the winter. Half-lined, nice pockets, 3 button. Go great with khakis and jeans. I had mine tailored to fit (had it fitted in the body a bit...

    Nutty Neighbors

It isn't hard, but you have to have the concept in your head that there are such things AS property lines, and that they aren't automatically where the grass changes color. More and more people think less and less about the general subjects that life requires.

    Friday the 13th (1980)

I didn't like it, or most slasher films, because the killer's physics lacked internal consistency and the characters consistently and repeatedly made the worst, most illogical, choices they could. I can take making a few mistakes, that's human, but to do everything wrong, to the point where...

Armed Miss America 1944 stops intruder

Happened in rural Kentucky. Robbing a defenseless old lady? That guy will be lucky if he doesn't get hung for the misdemeanor charge on general principle. :D He sure as heck is going to be the low man on the totem pole in the hoosegow, if he ends up there. He ain't walking away...
