Talbots has some nice high-ish waisted pants right now. Can't get links for pics on their website, but here are some item links. The ones with the stars are the ones I think are amazing. I wish I had a body to wear cigarette pants!

As you noted, fashion ebbs and flows, and when it's not fashionable anymore, then we will keep on wearing it and looking nicer than everyone else! Also, it's important to note that the devil is in the details, and those of us who like vintage pay attention to the entire look - the foundations...

Pretty Faythe, I'm not sure how many rollers I used but I have 2 packs of the long skinny pillow rollers. The packs I have have a mixed number of longer ones and shorter ones, and I only use a few of the longer ones on the top where I need the extra length to...
Thanks! In those first photos, I had coaxed it under with a blow brush. With no styling though, it's still not bad - kindof choppy, lots of texture and movement, pretty modern looking. I don't like not being able to pull it up in a ponytail or back in a braid, but I'll get over it lol
Oh...
I started this thread, it's about time I posted in it!
I just got a cut from a new gal, someone on my derby team, and took a bunch of photos from the Middy thread with me, and said I wanted something similar, but with longer layers that would look ok if I didn't set my hair. She knew what it...
I know. That's like the only page on their website without their shipping prices on it :-)
EDIT: I know their shipping prices to the UK are rather expensive, but if you check out the Remix thread here, you'll find a lot of info before you buy, possibly even some reviews of that exact shoe. Many...
Annie, I don't mean to be rude, but you need to look around a bit harder. Their shipping info is located at the bottom of almost every style page on the site. For example: http://www.remixvintageshoes.com/40splatformwedg.html. Just scroll all the way to the bottom.
M_luvs, take a look...

There are several threads here already on hair flowers. You'll probably find the answers to your questions in one of them:

Thanks for all the links, Artgirl! Unfortunately, I think a lot of stuff that's listed as "high waisted" is not high waisted by our standards. A lot of those items listed on their sites as "high waisted" only sit right around the model's hipbones and not at the natural waist.
Caroline, check out my new cut in the thread on Getting a Vintage Haircut. It is similar to a middy, but longer on the sides so it looks more like an average professional cut and less like a mullet/emo cut when unset. I have not tried setting it yet, though, so I have no idea how that will turn out.
new cut!
I should've taken before photos! It was a bit past my shoulders, layers that had grown out so long that they were pretty flat.

OK, here is a repost of CDot's middy tutorial, with the original photos. However, I'm not entirely positive if I've matched the photos up with the text properly, so please let me know if there are corrections.
