40's Updo's/Ponytails?

Hi!

I've been actively searching for information on 1940's updo and ponytail hairstyles, as there seems to be a distinct dearth of them on the internet. The only info I've been able to locate thus far has been on 50's styles and I've got enough on that era as it is. Does anyone have any photos/styling gudies that they can post? Any assistance is greatly appreiciated.
