Fit Check: Is this jacket too short?

Hi there, first post here but I've been lurking for some time.

I just purchased this Vanson Cheyenne trucker style jacket and I have really been after a slim fitting jacket. I have eight leather jackets total but this one is definitely the smallest. I know this is a motorcycle jacket so it should fit snugly and is meant to be on the shorter side, but I am unsure if this one is too short. I feel like the chest, shoulders, and sleeves fit great... But the hem is quite snug when the bottom button is snapped and it sits just above my belt. Is this proper, or does it look silly?

Thanks, any advice is appreciated!

It's a wonderful jacket and honestly the fit isn't all that bad in my eyes (given the model of jacket).
That said if you are not comfortable with it - move it along.

I like the guitars/banjos and you are obviously a musician. Pretty cool, there are others here who collect these sorts of instruments as well. :)

Hey, thanks. Hah. I try to be. I do like the jacket and I don't quite think it looks bad, but with so many options out there I think something with a slightly better fit would bring me more joy.

I think it looks pretty good. Fit is perfect except a little short. Definitely not silly, still very wearable. Are you over 6 feet tall? Do they make that in a long size? If you were a motorcycle cop who wanted an "above the gun belt" jacket, that would be just right.

I'm 5'8"... Don't really carry my gun or ride anymore either. Lmao! That's not a bad point though.

it looks good on you but not when paired with that pants, perhaps when worn unbuttoned or if you don't button the waist button like most important denim jacket unwritten rule it would look much better

I prefer a shorter jacket! I think it looks fine if the pants were just a tad higher, but I see that you didn’t like that fit.
Over all I think it fits you nicely

see this is so subjective. OP you should ask yourself what you like. some like it shorter and not covering the belt and others like myself like it just covering the belt but not the pockets at all. forget the rules! wear it how you like it.

Looks fine, it's the jeans that need binned ,but I'm 70 next year so its probably because I couldn't get a diaper to stay in place wearing them :)
Is it the low rise on the jeans you don't care for? They are a bit on the skinny side but they are just a pair of my work jeans. I have others that fit more relaxed but none that would be considered high rise. I'm not sure I would feel all too confident wearing high waisted pants. I will agree though that the particular pair that I am wearing in the photos is a bit on the more extreme side of low rise skinny jeans than I usually prefer.

I like 'em short as you might see from the attached photo (yeah different model but still short) and mostly i wear my "lighter jackets" unbuttoned or underneath some heavier layers anyway.

Wearing some higher waist pants on the photo ...

In my opinion fit 'n lenght of your trucker is just right.

Trucker-jackets have been meant to be worn by truckers and riders so make sense if they're short.
