Are those loafers? I'm definitely not the fashion police (well, okay, kinda am) but he looks like he made a quick stop to Target, picked up the suit in pieces, found a pair of $35 Nunn Bush loafers, threw on the nearest skinny tie and called it a day. His belt is slung two inches below his belly...
I really like this collection, but as Fletch has mentioned, it doesn't seem directed to a particularly American consumer culture.
I purchase my jeans through Dickies because they are heavy duty, high-waisted, durable and cuffable. For my size, they are as "vintage" as anything I'm going to...
Vance Packard, 82, Challenger of Consumerism, Dies
This is a little write-up in the NY Times about Mr. Packard, upon his death. I think the article succinctly states what the advertising industry thought:
"The advertising business hit back; its representatives took to public forums...
If those are the touristy ones of 1962, then sign me up for two!
I own one of the modern-day touristy fezzes, and although made in Morocco, it's pretty lame. I don't have pictures yet, unfortunately, but it's a formed cardboard material. The outside red felt is darn near sprayed on and thin...
Right. If you mix a tailcoat with a pair of single-stripe dinner trousers, you're going to look like a waiter. Either wear White Tie or wear Black Tie. Don't mix the two.
Thank god someone else gets this one when they're out and about.
"Are you in a play?"
"Yes."
"Oh?! What play?"
"A very serious one, thank you for asking. Now, I'll take 4lbs of ground chuck - split in half - and two pounds of slab bacon, please and thank you."
Then they look at you like...

This thought ran through my mind the entire time I was reading the article, which is partly why I asked if young women would one day find the likes of Jameson "classy". Miss Golightly is right that most modern stars will simply evaporate back into the nothingness from whence they appeared - but...

Although unrelated, wouldn't it be a laugh to paint something, scan/photo it and then post it on Facebook as a "Like"? Well, maybe not a laugh - I guess there's a reason I don't...
I was just looking over some photos of the Des Moines IA Public School District from the last 100 years (it's their anniversary) and I kept commenting to myself, "These little kids look like little adults." These were pictures of 10-year-olds up through high school. They were holding themselves...
Yes, I believe that is Panamabob's website. And yes, those Cuenca hats are the right price for a first-time hat buyer. They are a lower count than a Montecristi, but you don't have to worry about destroying the poor thing by the end of summer.
Others will likely have more information than me but...
I wouldn't go beyond a single size; i.e. 7 1/4 to 7 3/8. Once you start going beyond that, say two sizes, you can warp the crown, flange and brim. Also be careful with your sweatband as those can tear.
