Unfortunately, the world turns; different products are designed and sold, companies rise and fall. The economy has its cycles. And of course, that says nothing to the purposeful tampering, collusion and lies we see in today's market.
Let's get down to brass tacks; why do I need so much...
Oh, of course! You're right - I misread you. You meant to say:
I ask you again, would it be product(s) for you economically if the demand for the products your company makes drops?
Noir, you'd complain if your ice cream was too cold the day they hung you with a new rope. Sounds...
If this were the case, you wouldn't see nearly half the products you find at your local department store. What's the difference between a generic bamboo cutting board for $12, a similar bamboo cutting board for $26 made by Kitchenaid and a $60 "professional" bamboo cutting board "with grooves"...
Yes, sounds like they put you in a snug size and then charged you out the rear for alterations. That's a MWH special. (I should trademark that term.)
My local MWH has an excellent tailor that's been there for many years. I will sometimes take larger jackets and trousers in to have them sized...
Hot yesterday, hot today...probably gonna be hot tomarra'.
It was in the mid 100's July 4-7. The honey and I went out for fireworks, an outdoor concert and a baseball game. Wouldn't you know all those things HAD to happen during the worst heatwave in 20 years?
This is like arguing in favor of a new bell and whistle on every toaster. If we eliminate the bells and whistles, and just buy simple toasters, we'll be laying off all sorts of bell workers and whistle makers. And what of their managers, and what of their union reps? My god - local economies...
Oh no doubt - single-edged disposable razors, like Bic, are horrendous. There's a good reason I used these Gillette monstrosities to begin with. I'm referring to double-edged "disposable" razors - the kind you plunk down into a razor apparatus.
It is a bit arbitrary, but what routine, expectation or formality isn't?
Why wear clothing at all, really? A loin cloth may certainly protect the tender bits from splashing oil should one decide to cook, but aside from that, it's all a human effort in madness.
I think formalwear is nice...
Certainly, if we stopped buying things indefinitely, there would be a few folks out of business. But, for the sake of argument, let's say we didn't buy something to replace something else, or just because our old model was outdated, or because a new product looked nice, or made us fit in. What...
I wouldn't say I or the Mrs. turn in particularly early, but we like to be in by midnight at the latest. There have been a few ocassions to be out later, but we certainly don't make it a habit.
When I was a much younger, much more single lad, I used to stay up into the wee hours to the point...
Does anyone still do this? I've thought about having an ice cream social. Anyone have any pointers, experiences, tips?
How about just a tea party, or a cordial party? You know, having friends over for a little thing, nothing too crazy?
If I had a pile of money, I'd pay off my family's homes and get myself a place; something old.
Otherwise, if food, clothing and shelter are taken care of, I'd start programs for the homeless. It's always been a dream of mine.
Marc C, for sure. I think the whole fallout left a bitter taste on the Lounge. It's really a shame.
Tomasso, too; although I wouldn't be surprised if that fella has found another way on under a different handle.
Oh, and I kinda miss Poohbang. That "American Indian" crying was one of the...
