    Thoughts on this jacket, please?

Dreadful rag from the 1970s to be worn by American tourists in Europe. Burning would be a good way forward.

    1933 Kling brothers suit sbpl

Excellent suit - look s good on you. How many back pockets and inside coat pockets does it have?

Considering online custom suit... any last suggestions?

What thought have you given to the inside coat pockets? It is easy to have two breast pockets and a ticket pocket but you can choose what you need and where in the jacket.

Building a WWII era British Suit: the details?

No i had understood you to mean about 10/11" above the bottom of the jecket - you do see some modern suits with it as low as 6/7".

Building a WWII era British Suit: the details?

I am researching a slightly later period for an English suit. I have had some considerable help here and other research suggests the following There should only be one inside breast pocket in the jacket on the right. You could have a ticket pocket on the inside left - fairly high up though...

A brave man to wear the second one! First is fine, whatever vintage it actually is.

    Show us your suits

Both look good at a glance I will look more closely later. Can you put pictures front and rear without the jacket please? A neglected view but it does show how the pants work for you.

    Help dating this suit.

Not British - two inside pockets would be unusual to say the least. This feature was not common until the 1960s - later rather than earlier for RTW. The only exception might be a well travelled Briton.

For those with an open mind (Men's fashion across most modern eras)

Whilst I can't confess to like them all he certainly offers vast scope to create garments of your choice -in the knowledge he knows what he is about.

Single-venters flare open when I button 'em

Why not cut your losses and put them back on EBay or wherever?

Single-venters flare open when I button 'em

This is a 'no win', if you put a wallet in either of the inside breast pockets in coat that is too tight it will make the problem much worse as well. Back pockets may be (just) the lesser of the evils.

Single-venters flare open when I button 'em

If the centre vent opens then surely the jacket is too small/cut wrong for you? The danger of second hand or RTW.

    Sorry, bit ordinary.

    Why low armholes? My theory.

A very sensible and real theory. Since tailoring went from an art to an industry activity where bulk and saving the last penny or even cent was the golden rule , the fewer variants/greater universality the better - for the bottom line.

    Suit critique #2 please?

Another Magnoli problem? Shipping goods to the wrong address? This firm seems to need a very wide berth on the basis of reported experience of the last ten days.

    Suit critique #2 please?

The jacket looks far too tight but the trousers are not too bad.
