I have a belt my father was wearing when he died, I know this because I was with him. As it is rather a nice belt I wear it just as I would any other nice belt, the only difference with this one is that it reminds me of dad ....and I rather like that.
My grandfather was an antiquarian book dealer in London from the 1920's until he retired in the 60's so I grew up surrounded by many ancient tomes. Genuine old books and papers have a certain smell, one whiff of which will always transport me back in time.

That is correct. Besides, some off the peg French or double cuff shirts have two sets of cufflink holes, one above the other, to allow the wearer a bit of choice in terms of how much cuff to show and therefore difficult for the cleaner to know which one to press to.
