Worst Thing(s) That Happened In Your Life

Being on the receiving end of a rather large falling tree. Having my father unexpectedly collapse and die in front of me. A few other things that are much too depressing to mention. On a lighter note at least the sun is shinning here - for a change this summer lol

does it feel a little creepy wearing a dead person's clothing?

I have a belt my father was wearing when he died, I know this because I was with him. As it is rather a nice belt I wear it just as I would any other nice belt, the only difference with this one is that it reminds me of dad ....and I rather like that.

    Vintage Books and Magazines

My grandfather was an antiquarian book dealer in London from the 1920's until he retired in the 60's so I grew up surrounded by many ancient tomes. Genuine old books and papers have a certain smell, one whiff of which will always transport me back in time.

Actually stopping doing other things at the same time and engaging brain about it, what with clothing off ration in early '49 that is a heavy RRP.

Ah, proper money! Like Alan I'm old enough to remember and have used it. I distinctly remember teaching my grandparents the difference between the old and the new back when we went decimal. So, 12d (12 old pennies) = 1 shilling ( 1/- ) 20 /- = £1. Nice suit BTW BK

    French Cuffs

That is correct. Besides, some off the peg French or double cuff shirts have two sets of cufflink holes, one above the other, to allow the wearer a bit of choice in terms of how much cuff to show and therefore difficult for the cleaner to know which one to press to.
