My choice for recon missions was the green "rite in the rain" books.
I used the hard bound "little green notebooks" for other day to day barracks use and on the range.
Notebooks are skookum gear.

I do like the concept, and I too don't really care about the name.
It just seems to me the concept needs to be defined first and the name chosen to reflect that concept.
The original thread source, thus concept, was activity-specific "Adventure Gear". I'm using clothes and gear...

If it is going to be that broad though, is "The Great Outdoors" still the most apropos?
Not to toot my own horn but that off-the-cuff "The Sporting Life" or something similar might be the more descriptive if we want to separate "activity" clothes from daily...
