    Show us your Guns!

Or, you're a sissy. ;) Just kidding. Hard to believe our grandfathers, who probably averaged a good 10-20 pounds lighter than us, carried and fired those .30 cals without whining for 4 years. You'd find me b---ing about my M-16 (at least mentally) a couple miles in on any op. :D

The .38 round nose also tended to penetrate rather than expand, wasting a lot of the energy it potentially had to deliver. Modern bullet design helps a lot of the smaller calibers perform better than they did historically.

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

I was looking at the Terr. Ahead just now, checking out the jacket. They have Bill's Khaki's M2 in stock for $97.50. Hemmed length up to 35 inches. Aren't these the ones that are considered "authentic-y" and usually have to be ordered from Japan or something? I seem to remember I...

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

Congrats on getting your wings. Skydiving a rectangular chute is fun and all, but going out the door in full combat gear as part of a stick, that is something altogether different.

Probably easier to find a local holstermaker and have them made. I keep ending up with that option on numerous holsters I see in odd books and such.

I only mean that half jokingly. The Italians, the more I'ved learned about them, win the prize for troops ill-served by their leadership. The commando raid on the British Navy in Egypt was a masterpiece.

    Talcum Powder For Men

The demolitions term is "dust initiator". It is in essence a "dry" fuel air explosive. Not sure if there's a YouTube video but any good demo manual should have a description. Much like a liquid FAE, you have a kicker charge to spread your dust cloud, can be almost anything, and then an...

Grew up with doxies, all color variations and sizes (all short hairs though). Aside from one mini-poodle, they're the only dogs I've ever had.

    Talcum Powder For Men

Attempting to remain couth... Where are you applying it? For my feet (dry socks and foot powder are the secret to wearing leather boots long-term in any climate) and everywhere south of my neck I get a pile on my palm and kinda splash/rub it on. I think on hair or your face you could...

    Talcum Powder For Men

On another forum I'm on we just had our annual Gold Bond powder discussion. That is, for the nether regions for dryness and that tingly fresh feeling. The general consensus is, year after year, that the yellow bottle is refreshing while the green bottle is for men of true grit. "Tiny...

    The Vintage Fur Thread

The beauty of the system of government we have in the US is that you are free to disagree with people but you are not free to interfere with them doing (or wearing) legal things. Personal ethics and morals (religious, health, sexual or fur-related) are not supposed to be forced on others...
