Obsello is not too bad, and a bottle of Segarra (Not the Verte) can be interesting. I haven't bought any of the other Spanish...
There is distillation, but short of actually going that route, following the usual steeping/infusion steps that other recipes use, would be your best bet.
You could get one of the modern translations of Duplais which could be helpful if one was inclined to do more complicated work.
It's a Chase Gaiety Cocktail shaker, they are fairly easy to find.

The new vintage Herbsaint will be on regular liquor store shelves, Sazerac has pretty good distribution. The limited run version should be available both online at the usual places and in stores. Maybe more if the demand is high.

Sazerac will be reviving the original formula version of Legendre Herbsaint, in 100 proof, and a limited edition 120 proof version as it first appeared. The current modern version has a different flavor profile from the vintage.
In a few months you'll be able to taste the spirit as it was...
No kidding, one time I printed out the instructions, and ingredients, to make a Sazerac for a local bar.
How hard can it be to buy a bottle of Rye, Herbsaint, and Peychaud's bitters. :eusa_doh:
