What Did You Drink Last Night?

I made one of these with Carpano Antica, and 1940s Herbsaint with a dash of Peychaud's bitters, it was amazing.

    Who's our resident radio guru?

Buy a Variac™ to power it up slowly, if you are really keen on doing your own work. Love those Black Dial Zenith's!

    The Miracle of Absinthe

Get a bottle of Pacifique, or Meadow of Love from Drink Up Ny, you'll never want to drink La Fee again.

    The Miracle of Absinthe

It's been awhile since I've ordered from Spirits Corner, going back to the days when we were amazed at getting a bottle of Deva. Those days have long since passed Obsello is not too bad, and a bottle of Segarra (Not the Verte) can be interesting. I haven't bought any of the other Spanish...

    Vintage Blackberry Liqueur Recipe

There is distillation, but short of actually going that route, following the usual steeping/infusion steps that other recipes use, would be your best bet. You could get one of the modern translations of Duplais which could be helpful if one was inclined to do more complicated work.

Ok, do hat-wearers have other common characteristics?

Yes. I use vintage barware, and drink hard to find vintage booze, that I also keep out of the sun.

What Did You Drink Last Night?

The new vintage Herbsaint will be on regular liquor store shelves, Sazerac has pretty good distribution. The limited run version should be available both online at the usual places and in stores. Maybe more if the demand is high. They will officially announce the product in October, I'd...

What Did You Drink Last Night?

Sazerac will be reviving the original formula version of Legendre Herbsaint, in 100 proof, and a limited edition 120 proof version as it first appeared. The current modern version has a different flavor profile from the vintage. In a few months you'll be able to taste the spirit as it was...

What Did You Drink Last Night?

No kidding, one time I printed out the instructions, and ingredients, to make a Sazerac for a local bar. How hard can it be to buy a bottle of Rye, Herbsaint, and Peychaud's bitters. :eusa_doh:

    State laws

I'd rather drink at home, no bar can compete with what I keep in my liquor cabinet. One can get any type of liquor they want if they are resourceful, collecting absinthe for ten years taught me that.
