Few/ McCoys B2 Werber Leather Coat Inc.

I sent an email to Switlik and they said they have not made the B-1 since WWII.

    Langlitz: Why not horsehide?

My Columbia is the best mc jacket I've ever owned, and I've never seen cowhide like that, easily the heaviest I've encountered. I have a Cascade on order in medium weight for when the weather warms up. I was always a horsehide snob myself owning several Lost Worlds but I do not miss it at all...

The only Aero that bled was my cordovan halfbelt, my brown Barnstormer did not at all. I think its more the cordovan that bleeds like a stuck pig.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED! Aero Stockman Review

I think you'll be real happy with the way that Aero horse breaks in.

Few/ McCoys B2 Werber Leather Coat Inc.

This is pretty amazing, Switlik, the company that made the B-1, is still in business. http://www.switlik.com/ I noticed "The Few" also make the B-1, which is pretty nice also.

Spectacular stuff John, this should become an official B2 thread. These pictures are great for reference. Anyone on here own or have pictures of an original ?

Amazing, I saw that one on Ebay also and was really surprised.

New to Forum - New Highwayman !

I had pretty heavy bleed with mine, no conditioner ever added. Look for bleed wear the jacket rubs when you drive your car. I always hang mine in the same spot in my closet and there is actually dye on the wall where the sleeve rubs when I hang it. I think it has subsided now after six months of...

That looks awesome, the B-2 is one I've always wanted but never pulled the trigger on. Does Few/McCoys sell direct to the USA ? I'm just reluctant to deal with Stuart anymore.

There's a 46 US Authentic/FlightJacket.com on Ebay right now and the pit to pit measurement is 24.5 inches.

Quality of manufacture for leather coats?

You might want to consider the ANJ-4 also, http://www.lostworldsinc.com/ANJ-4SheepskinLeatherFlightJacket.htm no wool coming out the sleeve. There are a few other manufacturers of this jacket also. I have two of these, an old Willis & Geiger and one made in the 90's, they are great jackets...

    "The Gunner" from Kakaduimport?

I have the Kakadu and an original Despatch. The Kakadu is a basic representation that is not bad for the price. The original Despatch coat is just a different animal all together due to the fabric, its probably the heaviest impregnated canvas I have ever seen. Its heavier than any outfitter tent...

IRVIN NUTS?...the ULTIMATE thread for those who love 'em!

I'd imagine Aero would still have the specs and could make another.

IRVIN NUTS?...the ULTIMATE thread for those who love 'em!

The guy said he had it specially made by Aero, copied directly from an original. 44 was the modern size. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280205972184&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

IRVIN NUTS?...the ULTIMATE thread for those who love 'em!

There was an electically wired Aero repro on Ebay recently, I came close to bidding on it but it seemed huge for a 44.
