Snark, right but relative to every other 38 you have ? The thing is that my Easy Ryder in 44 fits like I think a 44 should compared to everything else i wear in that size while the the Suburban just seems a tad smaller in every aspect.
I have both, the Suburban may be more practical (the hec with practicality tho, get what you really want). One thing I would add tho is ask Stu for actual jacket measurements because they fit differently. The Easy Ryder imo fits true to size but the Suburban imo runs a tad smaller. I'd size up...
I didn't have any loose threads but I gave them a rinse in woolite when i got them to soften them a bit and the amount of dye that came out of them was insane, they look even darker now tho, go figure. Anyway definitly a bargain for that type of heaviness.
I think it all depends on how the arms are cut, if you can put your arms up on the bars and the jacket doesnt bunch up in the shoulders and pull up on the sides, then its a biker jacket as far as I'm concerned.
LW HH= Thick and hard
Aero HH= Thick and soft
I think Aero is made for a much faster breakin and faster patina while LW is tanned like leather was seventy five years ago when people bought one leather jacket and wore it for thirty years. There's no question that LW HH is more durable as I...
If you don't like the biker look which Aero do you plan on getting ? I have a halfbelt and I can't ride with it, its not designed for riding. The arm holes are cut too low and when your hands are up on the bars it pulls up. I also have a LW Easy Ryder which is excellent, LW horsehide is second...
I highly recommend the G-1 pistol pocket, my next one will have them on both sides if possible. Mine is drillcloth and they are deep enough that nothing should fall out.
There is nothing else like a Langlitz, they are legendary, been in business for over fifty years. The jackets are made for bikers, custom fit, you have to give them about a dozen measurements. They are also cut for a riding position so if you dont intend to use it for riding you need to tell...
Just got back from a ride out to Pa. and its already too hot for leathers. I have a Vanson thats perforated, similar to a Manx. Im going to have to break that out already.
The half belt has pretty low arm holes so I would not recommend it for riding because the shoulders will bunch up. Maybe they could cut it more like a riding jacket if thats what you need.
