    Howard Hughes rescuer dies

    I figured this obscure news belonged in the WW 2 section- The Marine that rescued Howard Hughes in 1946 when his XF-11 crashed in Beverly Hills died in Palm Springs CA at age 89. He received $300 a month for life from Hughes. Nice to see he maximized it.
