I casually mentioned something on another forum concerning the casing stones on the Giza pyramids being finished to 1/100th of an inch tolerance. Some yahoo insisted that was impossible and demanded my source. I listed 2 books by reknown egyptologists published in 1910 and 1947.
He demanded...
Ah, the ad media. Ya gotta love 'em. They can create stand out commercials like the innovative new stuff for Target or something completely lame.
I hear you, but hey Ford could have OK'ed their ad company's commercial portraying a family of chimpanzees illustrating how great the car was...
I am odd man out cause I never felt the urge to purchase films in any format. The few I taped on VHS I found laying around years later never having been viewed.:eusa_doh: I also don't want/need any more collections of anything taking up space.
I own a VHS of Frequency, a DVD of The Wild...
I have only written about WW 2, WW 2 air combat, air combat pre and post WW 2, and about the vehicles used. It's what I know so I won't be penning any harlequin romance novels any time soon:)

Great observation Matt! If we were to look back in just a year at what the media has chronicled we'd probably see tons of errors and inappropriate fashion that they touted as mainstream when in fact it was just hype.
I'm surprised at candid shots from past eras showing the vast majority of...
Hey speaking of commercials I'll bet you haven't noticed this. In the last probably 2 years max, there is, to me, a frustrating trend at foot. Notice during a commercial break that you will see a commercial followed by another different one and THEN they repeat the 1st commercial!!
Do they...
We live in the now of today. Actually many questions or polls are rather timeless in their content and could have been answered by regular folks now or 65 years ago with interesting results.
I am one person who can "live" in yester-year for an entire day as I write accounts of pilots in WW 2...
