    I like wider brims than narrower but have more narrow ones. You need probably 3-4 colors to spread across use with all clothes. Crown height is less critical for me. I do only buy beaver felt, no wool. And by careful Ebaying I have never spent more than $20 for a hat with most at $10-15...

    Acme you might consider a Colt Officers' Model 1911 or one of several non-Colt offerings in the same more compact size and caliber. I have a Star PD clone. Nothing stops like a .45 but any concealed carry of smaller caliber beats a knife at a gunfight.

    I have a huge (about 2 1/2 scale miles of track) HO layout in my garage I built when I was a bit younger. Figure I ought to dismantle it and sell or give away the useable stuff as my close up vision no longer allows modeling. Patience is far thinner than it was too.[huh]
