    Which tank?

OK it's 1944. What tank would you like to be in? I'd probably go for the Panther.

    Bristol Brabazon?

I wrote a lot of air combat simulation stuff back then and a little historic stuff.

Where would we be today if?

I believe that cars like Tuckers would have later fallen in between the very limited production exotic category and that of Deloreans had they survived. You know perhaps 5,000 cars a year for a company leaning on mainstream and probably 500 a year for a car more exotic/expensive.[huh]

Cringing re-make of The WILD BUNCH

This is yet another of those situations where they are exploiting the title and the movie had absolutely nothing to do with the original plot. It's modern day for chrissake! http://movies.about.com/od/moviesinproduction/a/wildbunch110405.htm...

    1929 Ford Tri-Motor Terrific photos!

Amazing ship! A great tribute to the skills of the rebuilders how something that old can not only still fly but look perfect.

    Robert Stanford Tuck: R.A.F ace

One one hand I can easily see how making an extra effort to be the nice chap was left to Galland. After all he was the leader of the fighter pilots. And being a super nice fellow was probably called for, as even today we have ignorant people that equate Germans to Nazis on this forum. He...

    Do You Get The Picture?

A local TV channel did a comparison some time ago comparing the ad pix to the actual product. As I recall there was like maybe 1 out of 5 that actually looked as edible and looked as large as the ad.:eusa_doh:

And not to throw a wrench into this topic but what the heck "official " designation is the jacket in my Howard Hughes avatar? http://www.nytstore.com/ProdDetail.aspx?prodId=2671 It's sort of a G-2 but pockets are different.

The 1st 4 aircraft were designated A-11 as the CIA single seat version interceptor but the official USAF version name was the YF-12. In this form the ship would carry either eight Hughes GAR-9 Falcon nuclear missiles or Hughes AIM-47A Falcon missiles in four weapons bays or free-fall nuclear...

    Love Children! Scam!

Man, and woman does not live by vintage alone. As you say Foofoogal there are amny topics that begin or meander to non-vintage content. The Observation Lounge is the place for that in my humble opinion. Geez there's a zillion other pure vintage topics and threads here! We all have 2007...

    Car Key Woes!

I remember a little device for your keyring that was a beeper/finder. If you lost the keys you used the master thingy to find them. Of course most of us would have also misplaced the master beeper too.lol [huh]
