No the Flash Gordon vehicles weren't even believable for me as a kid, when I saw them. They usually showed them in profile to keep "flying' problems minimal and even then we knew smoke in space was phoney. Of course all that didn't diminish the imagination it stimulated in kids.;)- Twitch
