I would wash it by hand.
Honestly I have a lot of vintage dresses that I've worn many times and have never washed. I just don't sweat in them (or if I do, I hand wash that area in my sink) and be very careful not to get them dirty.
Hahah, I love Michelle Tea! I saw her speak at my college last year, she's a great writer.
The only two I can think of right now are:
Yoko Ono - 4
Greg Graffin (the singer for Bad Religion) - 2 (he was my friend's professor!)
Bonnie, I absolutely LOVE your hair! Is it naturally straight? Your curls look so soft and touchable, what hairspray do you use?
I hairspray the heck out of my hair, so it doesn't look quite as soft as yours!
You have a gorgeous singing voice, Sunny!
At first I didn't read the whole description of Lullaby in Ragtime and when it started playing I was like, oh my goodness, she DOES have a man voice! :eusa_doh: lol
Anyway, you and your brother have truly lovely voices!
To be honest, I haven't listened to too too many of them yet. And I am totally unfamiliar with the originals! So I don't really know yet. I just recently listened to "The Jazz Singer" because I was familiar with the title (the first sound film, right?), and that was a little corny! Entertaining...
There's a free Lux Radio Theatre podcast on iTunes if any of you don't know about it! I listen to them at work, it definitely makes the day go faster. I love the advertisements for Lux flakes as well!
I'm so jealous of women with great speaking voices. Mine is like a little girl's voice, PLUS I have a slight lisp, which doesn't improve the situation at all!
There are a few lady podcasters out there who have great voices. I just wish I had a womanly voice, not the voice of a 9 year old high...
Thanks hon! It's such a great dress, unfortunately the first time I wore it I got oil on it! Yikes. I took it to the dry cleaners, but it still didn't come out. Oh well. At least it was on sale!
Usually my best sets are day 2, when I have a lot of leftover hairspray in my hair. Sometimes on the first day I use Redken 22 Hot Sets thermal setting spray (I think that's what it's called?), but sometimes I use nothing and it comes out relatively the same (my hair takes to heat very well)...
My picture is pretty stupid, but I hope it helps! It's a really simple hairdo.
First of all, I'm growing out bangs that are about nose length right now. To get the height in the front I usually just do a side part, wet my bangs and comb them up and back, they kind of naturally do that sort of...
Daisy, love the PJs!
Lolita, collecting vintage photography was my first love! One time I bought a big box that was something like 10 lbs of photos from one family. The stuff is truly amazing! The husband was an amateur photographer who printed his own stuff, so there's lots of really...
My dad used to wear his jeans like that with cowboy boots and a flannel in the early 90's. He had moved from Idaho to New York City to be with my mom. Every now and then he dresses like that, but usually only when we visit Idaho. Now he's all Northern Californian, doesn't hardly say "howdy"...
I love all the braids! I never had long hair as a kid, so I was never taught how to properly do them. Any tips on how to do this hairstyle? Julia's, of course, not Hugh Grant's! ;)
it looks a little complicated, but I think it's your Swiss Miss sort of braid around the back. It seems...
