Lipstick Application 101
I think everyone is different. I only wear the red for when I do vintage, not everyday. I use a Rimmel lip liner in Red Diva. Then I just apply the Mac Russian Red directly from the tube. Lasts forever and I never have any bleeding or anything on my teeth. I've never tried using the powder. Oh... -

Vintage styles for short hair
Fortworthgal, I just got a little 3/8" curling iron at Sally's. I practiced a little this weekend and it works really good for the short hair. But I'm not as familiar with the 40s as I am with 20s and 30s. So I'm not sure what style to suggest. The photo you posted looks good, maybe use med size... -

I think the big rollers are just mainly to add body. Thery're too big to make curls. I don't think you're doing anything wrong. :) -
