It's the June 23rd issue of Ad age- you can probably get it at Barnes and Noble- here's some more info about it
For example, Lionsgate is sponsoring the make-believe issue of Advertising Age, which comes out on Monday and takes the form of a 16-page ad section in the actual June 23 issue...
This week's Advertising Age magazine has a "Mad Men" Issue attachment. It's at the end, and you have to flip it upside down. It has all kinds of interesting articles about 60s advertising, news about Don Draper getting a new account. A Sterling Cooper Portfolio. It's really cool.
My husband and I have thrown 2 murder mystery dinner parties, both set in the 1920s. We invited some of our reenacting friends, as well as some others who know nothing about vintage. And everyone overwhelmingly participated in dressing up and getting into the party. Throughout the year, friends...
The actual day of the show, the waves came out really good. However, in all the excitement , I didn't get a good close-up :( But it did help using stronger get and I pushed the teeth down to my scalp too and it helped :)
I just read that AMC is planning a marathon July 20, starting at noon. All of the episodes air back to back. I think I may try to catch these since I missed it the first time around.
Kitty, they are probably just jealous. Like Shirt said, they are having to rethink where you fit in. I don't really have many girlfriends so I can't say from my experience. I do know no one I work with has said a word, but I think it's been so gradual. But people I haven't seen in awhile do...
I just wanted to share with ya'll the progress my mom and I have made. We've been doing Weight Watchers, and we joined at the end of July last year.
Here is a picture from last year, Memorial Day, and then one from this year. Both are taken at the Bonnie and Clyde festival. It's been so...
The third one, the wrap dress, I tried on at the store. It fits really cute, but the V came down too low on me (I have this problem a lot since I'm only 5') But it's a really cute eyelet design. Look very well made too.
When I worked retail, we used to mark swimsuits half off right before 4th of July- maybe the last week of June. So you might check macy's etc around then if it's not too late
I love reading Amy Jeanne's livejournal page. I don't have a login to comment, but I check it out at least once a week. Fantastic photos! Thanks so much!

Ft Worth?
You might see if there's a World Market near you. I always find interesting wine, beer and soda there. Actually, they have all kinds of neat stuff :)

Try everything on ahead of time, walk around in it, sit down in it. I had an interview last year and got a new suit, new shoes. And the shoes were sling backs and I didn't realize until I got there that the slings wouldn't stay on with hose unless I walked very slowly. It caused major anxiety...
Bon Ton is fun! The little lady there is so cute. There are a few others around town but since I usually need 20s or 30s stuff, I never find anything. Gratitude in Oak Lawn, but the guy was kinda rude so I left. I have more luck online personally. Vintage Martini's mom is local (Plano?) and has...
How interesting! I work in an advertising library- we do Pepsi :) But I'd never heard of this. We have historical books on Pepsi and Coke, but nothing on Dr Pepper. I did look through some books on 40s ads but nothing with Peggy in it. Anyway, here are a couple great links with a lot of samples...
No, I am a cheapskate too! That's why I wanted to let everyone know about the sale-lol. I've bought one dress from there, on sale for $60 something. But it is super high quality, and I get more compliments on it and wear it more than anything else. I think it's more for when you really need a...
