They have rounded teeth rather than sharp ones, they hold really well but they've created ridges more than waves. I think a soft brush would sor tthat out though.
It actually turned out ok! A bit more Shirley Temple than Lana Turner but still kind of cute. I photographed it quickly before I left for work so I'll post pics later. I can't believe how short my hair is now - just below ear level!
Oh Miss Lyburum! That looks SO gorgeous on you (and I'm so jealous at how perky your girls are without a bra!). So what are your plans for wedding hair?
I can see I my have to start shopping in the high street again... it's been a while. Actually that's a fib - I've been into Oasis and they have some fab cardi's and knitwear generally this year.
Really?! I am jealous! In the last 6 years or so I haven't been able to find anything that was high-waisted, especially not in H&M - it all seems to be designed to hang somewhere off the top of my butt-cheeks!! Everything is cut straight too, so it doesn't go in at the waistband at all - drives...
Admittedly, carbon footprint-wise it wouldn't be too clever! But in terms of labour, something that bespoke wouldn't be child-labour - there are (I'm told) loads of amazing and speedy tailors in India and other parts of asia and it's far more likely to be one of those I would imagine.
So...
This is way beyond me personally but is it something that most seamstresses/tailors can do? I have an amazing pair of vintage trousers that are beyond repair that I desperately want copies of.
In real life it is SO not sleek and shiny!! It's like straw, honestly (well you've seen my 'before' picture!). I think the flash on the camera just makes it look shiny. I get terrible 'neck fluff' at the back too. Honestly sometimes I am tempted to get the back of my hairline lasered!
Thank you so much! My fringe/bangs are down to just below my eyes now. I'm actually growing them out a bit so i can do softer, less structured styles - more like our Johanna.
Thank you all!! I think the colour of my hair lets me get away with what are sometimes less-than-perfect styles! People focus on the colour and don't notice the wonky fluffy bits - all fine with me!
fiftiesfreak: I can't believe you managed to do that wedding hair yourself - just incredible...
