hold on there big guy...
I ment no disrespect...
I thought the photos looked great thats why I made the suggestions. Because they looked so great to make them look like they were real!
I honestly don't didn't know about the sleeve length... I was only asking.
Yes I know they had...
A guy probably had 2 pairs of overalls and two or three shirts. Plus his good clothes... They don't call them Sunday Best for nothing... He'd wear his same boots.
Especially if he's from the 30's period, you just didn't waste anything.. including clothes. Also keep in mind houses didn't...
You can find a lot of cheap watches on ebay... 30 bucks or so at your local watch guy will get it working. Buy a new band and it could look great. Also check local thrift stores. You'll actually be hard pressed to find an original band on a watch 60+ years old.
I'm a wrist watch guy...
On the photograph, I'd loose the door with the modern blinds on it and the electric plug. Pick a window or door with wide base board and try to have something "period" in the background to make it really authentic looking...
The lighting is great. The suit is great too. Are the sleeves...
agreed, Amish hats would be very simple with nothing fancy at all about them... Unless they're new-order Amish.
I grew up the the Old-Order Amish and they mostly just wore the straw hats.
It kind of looks like a Hasidic Jewish type hat... But it looks too tall.
I think we should just...

"So, you've got a great suit?" said McGraddy, the police detective with the heavy finger that kept digging into my shoulder.
"Yeah, so what?" I threw back into his face with the nose just a bit too big for his ears.
"Well, I got a guy who's looking for a vintage suit and buddy... you got...
Is that the Timber Bamboo? I've been thinking of getting some for the back...
How old is that stand? How big were they when you got them?
And is the hammock actually attatched to them?
oh... nice hat too.

anyone have a pair of the 1947 levis? I have the 1955's and just bought a used pair of the 47s. But it has a tag inside on the leg with the levis info... do they all have that? Everything else looks right. My 55's don't have the tag and I know they're real...
thanks
Shamus...
I think the only place you'll find that is in the middle of a Raymond Chandler book...
if you do find it... let me know, I've got a thirst that'll kill a man.

I agree...
If something works well or looks good, don't blame the entire country who made it... Not every German was a Nazi. Do you shutter every time you see a Volkswagen? Or a Honda or Toyota if you father or grandfather fought in the Pacific?
Of course not... Now if you wear the Nazi...
I've never owned lost worlds so I can't really say.
I can say... I started with a cooper until I saw the Willis Geiger, but they went under.. then I looked at US Flight Suits.. aka: what ever it is now. My friend bought one, and it's ok, not authentic though. Then I saved up and bought...
I'm trying to find just the right 30's suit, 40's suit and sharkskin 50's suit.
I hit all the thrifts, but would like to see what you guys have....
smoke em' if you got em'
Shamus
thanks!
I have quite a few hats so I think I'll actually go through.. see what I have and maybe take a few pics.. I have most of my grandfathers hats which by pure luck is my size.. 7 3/8. Others I pick up at various places.... Tough to find my size though...

I was going through all my hats and realized one was a Disney... Not micky mouse, just Disney. An Oxford, quite lovely and dashing if I say so myself.
Just seeing.. I don't believe it's a standard maker... but what do I know...

I believe they are illegal to carry. That being said, I did find a great blackjack in a thrift store display case for $5.00. At first I didn't believe it was just sitting there, then once my brain made the connection to what it actually was, I was five dollars short.
