I actually went through the whole what do you call it thing as a kid. I grew up in ohio/penn where it's pop... then moved to missouri where it's a coke, soda, sodie pop. Then back to ohio area.. again pop.. then to California where it's soda...
I just ask for water with a lemon now.. it's...
Did you win a vintage suit contest? How is this a once in a lifetime thing? And please keep us posted on the progress. I bet if your tailor does a great job, he might have a few more orders...
well since we're all losing weight.. how about someone who use to wear a 44 long and can't now sell me their old "Fat Suit" and I'll give it a new home...
I walk to work... (I think one of 3 people in LA) and ride my gary fisher not as often as I'd like.
Bad part of my job is I sit on my...

it's ironic that you are going through so much trouble to buy a pair of "American" pants that were originally made for our troops to wear fighting the very same guys who are making them today....
I wonder in 60 years if some guy in Japan will be having the same trouble buying a vintage...
there was a chance of showers this weekend... Even heard thunder last week. Lot's of thunderheads this weekend too...
Back to you Bob...
Thanks Tony.. in local news...
I might make it..
But many factors are involved... how late I have to work, if it's raining (my truck isn't totally waterproof).. explaining why I'm having fun and my wife has to stay home...
And I still don't my my perfect vintage suit yet... Fedora's yes, suits no...
I know it's a bit off topic...
I couldn't help but see the quart of oil sitting in the corner.. knowing you drive an old car...
That's the true way to tell if someone really loves an old car or if they just have it for looks...
My ride isn't quite as old as yours but I do have a few...
I went thrifting today as I usually do on a saturday and hit one I normally don't go to. No vintage suits today.. although when I walked by the door that holds all the stuff you can't buy yet.. you know the one. It holds all that magical wonder that you'd love to go through before everyone...
well for starters those are all from my grandfather. So tip one: get them from someone who bought them new...
Things to look for are the actual hides. Alligator is very hard to find, mostly it's crock from asia today... pinseal today? I don't think so.
Wallets actually don't change...
I thought I'd post a pic of some of my vintage wallets showcasing the different hides that are out there.
I think the wallet is one of those items that many forget about to finish the look....I mean, that's why there is that pocket on the inside....
From Left to right...
I wear a daily desert camo boonie hat with jeans and a leather half-belt and people say, "Hi Indy" to me!
It's not even just a brown hat, if you wear a hat, except a cowboy hat your Indy...
Maybe try a Brown short brim hat from the 50's.... Then you might only get a, "Hi Frank? Where's...
I heard and I could be wrong.. not the first, but Rayon from the 50's is different than Rayon from today. As today's in non-"natural"
any word on that?
Oh, and I do love the shirts. Hawiian, Camp, Bowling... they're all great.
here they are... a bit grass stained.. I just bushwacked the back and didn't get a chance to clean them up...
I went with brown.. you have to ask for it, low motorcycle cop front, and brass buckles. I wanted to copy a late 40's "James Dean" style. You can't find these new today unless you...
