Arrived today, but sadly a little on the tight side, a UK 7 1/4 (59cm, US 7 3/8) black bowler, believed rabbit fur felt, in very good condition (appears near-new) and ready to go. Manufacturer not known (crown label missing) but believed to be Olney, a reliable mid-range British maker.

Speaking as a total novice relating to this kind of thing (it's a bit too recent for me!), I found Robert Elms' book "The Way We Wore: A Life in Threads" a fascinating read...
Length is a vexed question as different people have different preferences. Personally I like to tie my ties so that the widest point just overlaps the waistband. Others wear theirs much shorter; I would only do the latter if the tie required it (i.e. it was a short tie), and then probably only...
I'd agree with Alan, although it might be worth considering the lot if they are a good price and happen to be (for example) either a lot of vintage braces or really good quality modern braces (e.g. Thurston, Trafalgar), where you have some hope of getting a return on investment should they turn...

As to what shirts, personally I like double-cuffed shirts in 100%...
Belt and braces is generally considered a no-no, although some did wear them during the period - my enduring image is of Sir Richard Attenborough wearing both whilst playing the murderer Reginald Christie in 10 Rillington Place...
They certainly look hardwearing, although I am not a fan of...
Orgetorix has it as regards placing. I also agree with Alan regarding silk braces, nice as they are - I have worn through about three or four pairs of them. Thurston and Trafalgar are names to look out for.
I note with interest that the new Mossants brought out by Herald and Heart here in the U.K. (who bought the name a few years ago now) also have grosgrain sweatbands; perhaps an homage to the original line? - I've never seen an original example before now to check.
A bit late, and not as good as Orgetorix's photo, but here are a couple of images - both of the black single breasted morning waistcoat I wore to work today:
