Helen at Pin Up Parade is extremely helpful and always puts proper measurements up on her site. She can recommend specific dresses too if you email her and stocks a small but lovely range with good prices too.

Well, I tried the Listerine this morning. I only used a little, mainly because thats all we had left, but it did leave my head nice and minty fresh!
I can't say it did much to help my scalp but it's good to know I won't get any cavities there now!
I picked up a 4 in 1 tie for my other half in a charity shop a few months ago for the princely sum of £2.99! I thought they were a very good idea, although I haven't seen another since.
Thanks for all those ideas ladies. Lots of nice natural ideas for my poor wee head, although the Listerine one sounds very odd!
I think I'll try the oil based ones. Mind you I'm so intregued by the Listerine that I might give that a whirl first, it sounds like it'd give you a lovely fresh...
My other half has just finished spraying our 1938 Austin Big Seven with cellulose paint, and although he's been doing it in the garage, the fine black dust has gotten everywhere. About the same time (this spraying has gone on for a few weeks!), my scalp began to get very itchy, bumpy and sore...
Well, I picked up my hooded dryer yesterday and for just over a tenner I am pleased! It belonged to the lady's gran so it's not newish and probably wasn't that expensive when new - the stand pulls apart and the feet are tubular and quite flimsy, not the moulded ABS ones with castors you get now...
It's the same woman! I think it's an action shot - sitting down playing cards in her undies (as you do) and then getting up to turn on/off the light. She's still holding the cards.
Oh, surely that's not real?? I mean, I know it happened, but, really? And I reckon that car ones a wind up too!
I really like those Maidenform ones though
Ed Wood - haven't seen it in aeons and it's actually better than I remember it. It looks just gorgeous, fantastic soundtrack, brilliant performances (esp Marin Landau) and Bill Murray is a slice of fried gold, as always.
All the better for NOT being a (stereo)typical Tim Burton Movie.
Can you still buy those? I'd love one, or even the ones that have a hose that goes onto your hairdryer with a bag type hood attached. Actually, I really only remember those from Girls World sets from the 70's!
Any one know where you can still get either in the UK?
Those 'Heel Condoms' (terrible name!) are so weird that I actually kind of like them! They look like something that would have failed to get funding from 'Dragons Den'.
wahine, although I've made shoes, I've never sewn on a strap in that way, but I think you'd be ok as long as you use leather needles and nylon (sometimes referred to as button) thread. That should ensure that you don't have to put in a huge amount of holes and bulky stitching to secure the...
I have a lovely couple of hand made felt scotty dog brooches that I got from a lady on ebay. They're super cute and I have a red one on my coat and a green one clipped to my bag.
Otherwise, I have a real thing for clip on earrings, the fancier the better. I've got quite large ear lobes and I...
Sounds like you are much better off without someone like that Miss Sofia, he wouldn't appreciate you!
Off topic!! That reminds me of a friend of mine who was looking for Mr Right. She tried all the usual things and then a friend set her up on a blind date. So she speaks to the guy and he said...
