Having just bought a few small lipsticks to fit into my stratton lipstick compacts I'm wondering if it's possible to mould or reform lipsticks to fit into the tubes. The colours I have ar'nt my favourites and I can't find mini lipsticks in the right colours.
One of the lipsticks in the...
I definitely feel as though my body has changed since I was 35. It seems to be changing quite dramatically at the moment and I don't think that's just my perception, although I suppose it could be other factors. I suspect my hormones are playing a huge part.
I do agree sheeplady that those...
I seem to think my mum's theory was that with cell renewal our bodies 'renewed' themselves completely each 7 year cycle! I think your hormones have a little 'kick' every 7 years or so.
I have just looked through some of the links that Drappa put up. I'm surprised just how common this theory is...
I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if any one has mentioned this before, but I would highly reccomend NorNova This is a co-op in Shetland that hand knits Shetland jumpers and tank tops to order. I like to think of them as 'knitted by Nanas'...
Whoops! I seem to have clicked twice when posting this - please feel free to delete the duplicate one!
Grant Fan - when I mean when I say every 7 years is that roughly you change at 7, 14, 21, 28, 35.... etc. So you are 'inbetween' at 25. Maybe you will notice a change in 3 years or so (I'm...
When I was a kid my mum (and most women of her era I knew) held the belief that your body changed every 7 years. Now, I scoffed at the time but now I'm starting to think that there's something in that.
If you imagine that at 7 you are not so much a little kid as a young person, at 14 you have...

If I could look like anyone in the world I would look like Sophia. Ever since I first saw her a a kid in 'Boy On A Dolphin' I have thought she was the most beautiful woman on the planet. Alas, I am about as far from Sophia physically as it is possible to get!
I must admit I did have a little weep reading that. I loved the bit where they talked of them passing with the 'family they built' around them. It's a lovely thing to think that we are not 'having kids', we are 'building a family'. I liked that.
Thanks Tishkaminx - I was only in there last week talking to the lovely lady that runs it! I saw that they do Besame but I didn't see the smaller lipsticks. I'll have to have another look next time.
At the risk of sounding like The League of Gentlemen - are you local?
I know what you mean by it sounding almost British, I have noticed that too. It's very formal. I know you are referring to Americans but the funny thing is if you see newsreels from the 30's or 40's of 'Joe Public' with British regional accents they also sound very formal, almost RADA versions...
The best skirt I have is a double layered jersey wiggle skirt I bought in the sales at Warehouse last year. It's super stretchy and has a high waisted wide elastic top. Sounds horrible (and it's actually very 80's really), but it looks fabulous on as it falls well below the knee and fits in all...
