Thanks B-t-B!
I've ordered replacement nailpolishes through such sights and sadly, they've just never been the same. It's like from sitting or storage conditions they've changed colors. Maybe it was just time alone with no air from being opened that did it. I usually just end up mixing my own...
Hi-ho.
I've got a snazzy pair of black, cat-eye sunglasses of my Grandmother's but the frames are so dull from use, handling, and wear that they look almost white in spots. Does anyone know of a way to recondition older plastics, or are they just done for?
Cheers!
Hi-ho,
I don't want to start a new thread for this, but I'm wondering about thinning nailpolishes once they've gone goopy? I used to find a nail polish thinner at a beauty supply store, but I can't find it any more. A beautician told me that she thought adding a bit of nail polish remover...
Here is my favorite bandana tutorial. Scroll down through the pictures, it's in the comments section.
Cheers!

I'm all for 'live & let live,' so long as you are not hurting others. Inherently wrong? Yes and no. I think the question is less an individual judgment and more of an assessment of 'hooking up' as a cultural/social phenomenon that leads to really negative results for the society at large.
I absolutely agree, and there in is the problem: young women do not (largely) have instilled enough confidence, self-worth, or empowerment to change the terms. Until the mentality is solidified that, "We'd rather be alone than miserable on these terms," nothing will change. On the other hand...
The "hooking-up" generation/mentality is terrifying on a social and cultural level and I think the negative results are obvious, but I understand how it was borne and why, especially from a female perspective. It's almost a competitive mentality.
While I go about in the world thinking that...
It's actually been quite popular in Italy for a few years now and they really pull it off with style. I'm going to try and hunt down a pic. It was in an article where they discussed wearing their watches over their cuffs too.
Just a thought:
When getting vanity plates, try not to distinguish the fact that you are female, as often those criminally inclined will wait in parking lots and watch for those owners to return. Just FYI.
Enjoy your new wheels!
Seems like from what everyone is saying, we need some new umbrellas for threads -- something for domesticity (decorating, cooking, cleaning, baking), and something for hobbies and past times (gardening, dance, watches, collections, etc.) at least.
I think we get in danger of being too...
Exactly. They carry a shoe brand, Guiradon too. There was a Guiradon store by my old place in Chicago, and I could go in there and buy the shoes for usually $60-70 less than at Anthropologie, which is pretty ridiculous.
hi there. yes, i worked for them briefly as a side gig and venture in there often. i don't always love their stuff, but when i do it can be dangerous.
they usually have three lines per season, all with a different theme or collection name. they usually try to make one of them vintage...
I am familiar with it, but it has been over ten years since I've seen it, so it's a bit foggy.
I can barely deal with musicals, but I remember this being a bit more tolearble. Like most musicals, it's great to look at, and thankfully the story and characters don't get entirely lost behind the...
