    New Fella with the bug

Hi Muzz. If you are looking for new, down here in Portland there is a Milliner by the name of Pinkham. She is *brilliant*, and expensive. Her site doesn't show much in the way of men's, but if you go in her store front, she features plenty, one more handsome than the next. She does a lot of...

New Ladies and Gents Step Forward

Hello ladies, I've been here a couple months and wanted to make an official "Howdy." I was sent here to FL via a vintage lifestyle community I'm part of, and I was quite happy to find it! What a great resource and such wonderful people too. I recently moved to Portland, OR from my...

    Show Us Your Purchases!

Hi pretties. I have a thing for coats. I used to do purses and shoes, now I do coats. Found this lovely yesterday for a steal: I've nicknamed her 'Rive Gauche' after the YSL perfume in the blue & black bottle. I'm enamored. She's in great condition; only needs a smidge of...

    Vintage shopping in Chicago?

I never had luck in Chicago. It's *way, way* too expensive. When I lived there I did most of my shopping on ebay or when I was traveling. Wisconsin is actually pretty good. Milwaukee and Madison. Milwaukee had a lot of old beer money, so you can find some good stuff at a bout 1/3rd +...

    Vintage Shoe info

10 inches in length generally translates to a US size 8. With older shoes though I usally find the widths are much slighter than more modern makes.

    Favorite comfort food . . .

I have to echo the southern fried chicken, mashed & gravy, mac & cheese sentiment. I allow myself that meal about 1x per year. That's a tasty day, let me tell you. Also, Texas Bar-b-Que... beef brisket on pillowy white bread with Rudy's sauce.

    Portland: Bogart's

Yes, I'm also looking forward to it! Being still new here, I'd like to get a further lay of the land. I think picking Portland's nickname in my profile was a choice motivated somewhet by denial. I still think of myself as a Chicagoan. In fact, I wonder how long it will be until I *don't*...

    Men who can cook.

It's definitely a turn on, I think it depends on the woman and how much of a hedonist/sensualist/foodie she is. Some women, like some men, just aren't that into food. But to someone that is... well, the ability to make beautiful, aromatic, perfectly cooked and prepared food is a huge plus.

New Ladies and Gents Step Forward

Hi all. I'm happy to be here. I got 'round this way through a couple of online vintage (hair/photo/fashion) communities I belong to. I'm in Portland and have been here just a short while by way of Chicago. Vintage shopping here is *wonderful* and so much cheaper than my Mid-Western...

    Besame cosmetics

Samples. Results. Hi ladies, Received a bunch of Besame samples the other day and finally got around to trying them. At first I was a little sad the samples were *so* small, but boy-howdy!... A little goes a long way! Especially with the foundation, which is so hard-core with thick...
