Perhaps you're right. I like feather on my hat because I think a dash of colour brightens things up a bit. In your line of work it might be appropiate to avoid it. However, I suppose this is open for debate. -

I believe that classic clothing can be vintage but also very contemporary. It just doesn't go out of style, and you can vary all you want. Fashionable clothes can be very restrictive. Longhairs & Fedoras
I think I would prefer short hair for hat-wearers. But as I've got very little hair left (and shave the rest off) I'm not the most neutral spectator ;) . Just jealous :D . Hair long or short, it doesn't matter. A style of your own is what counts IMHO. -

Well, the problem is Hatsdirect say that the size of the Fed4 is half a size SMALLER then regular, hence my fear of mine being too small. As for sending it back, my nightmare scenario is to find out that a 55 is too small, after a long wait and having to pay taxes again, send it back, wait... -
