Wow swinggal, that uniform looks great!! Idon't know how baseball is played either, it isn't a big sport over here in the UK like it is in the US, however i have heard of and played softball is it like that? It also looks like it is a bit like rounders, but i couldn't say what the difference...
I just can't seem to pick which Hollywood movie star is my favorite, or even who was the most beautifull or wore clothes the best as they are all so different! I love the black and white stripy gloves in that one pictures, it just shows how acessories can make an outfit!:rolleyes: :D
If you have a look in one of the books with pictures of Rita Hayworth in it there is one picture, when she is relaxing at home, where she is wearing a pair of jeans nearly the smae as those with a tied up gingham blouse and loafers!! It looks really nice together!
At the military show last weekend a lady i know had her hen night, and guess what they all went as.....The Rockford Peaches!! She does lot of WWII rennacting and made the uniforms a couple of years back as they normally play baseball againest all the men. Here's a pic of the website...

I saw a converted WAVES jacket on ebay, they had changed the buttons and stiched around the collar in a contrasting colour, it looked very good!!:D

I think the amount, or type, of clothes that each person had also depended what country they lived in. In the UK rationing started in 1941 (CC41) up until the early 50's. And with restriction getting tighter as the years went on and the amount of coupons allocated to each person going down it...
I think i saw those auctions as well, there was a seller selling a load of the most gorgeous 40's shoes ever! The lady had bought the same style shoes in various colours, platforms, wedges in loads of colours and half of them had never even been worn! They were high quality pieece and i think...
