Please let me know how it works for you! We were at the coast and so my face was all over the place. But I have been home for 3 days and my makeup looks great and my face is holding it's own. Will keep you posted on mine as well!

My best experience for removing blackheads? Oil. I know, but blackheads are oil and keratin that has oxidized and turned black. Oil dissolves oil. I thought they were crazy too and decided to try it while I was on vacation. It works. I am a convert and my ultra oily skin? Not overproducing oil...
I too am a member of the red toenails club. :) But my secret weapon? I guess when I really play up my eyes, especially with mascara. I mean, really make my lashes stand out. I've recently been wearing just a very neutral whitish shadow, with black mascara and red lips. Drives my hubby nuts.
Borghese used to made a color called Opera Red that I wore everyday. They discontinued it years ago, but it was perfect. I think you can still get the nail lacquer, but it just doesn't feel right with my lipstick.
I wash my hair every 2-3 days. Sometimes 4. However, I rinse on the in-between days, apply product, dry and go. Sometimes I condition the ends, sometimes not.
I am in Carolina Beach for holiday right now. There is a restaurant here that I swear is an old diner.I will photograph and post over the next few days.
Also, I am going to be posting photos of my fave donut shop "Britt's" that has been in existence since 1939. There is one kind of donut and...
Brunch
I couldn't figure out why a few of my girlfriends loved their Brunch time. They raved on and on about the place they went to. Turns out they each carry a flask in their handbags, each with a different liquor!
Brunch is much merrier now :)
I'm a Southerner and used to subscribe to Yankee for it's fiction! You are right, not worth reading now and I haven't had a subscription in probably 15 years.
While I don't write period, I am a writer. Children's books. I have pondered and outlined a few period pieces for children, but not sure if they would sell. There has been somewhat of a renaissance for our beloved books from childhood about 8 years ago.
However, the cynic in me is coming out...
I have been buying some vintage patterns and am having some clothing made, since I am not an experienced seamstress.
Men's clothes, correct me if I am wrong, were probably made more sturdily if suits, etc., where women's clothing was more "dainty" in nature regarding the fabric.
Also, I...
It is! Cracking up here as a friend of mine also puts hers in a pretty beauty pot! I think I will have to do that, although I stash my cosmetics in a bag. I haven't tried hair gel on my brows, but I do use the Benefit brow kit and the way that's in there? Lasts eons.
They do. I know they didn't do the research they needed to, but they are still pretty smoking for a more modern color. I will get the "sampler" they always offer of small bottles and play with them, but am sticking to my staples.
Quality is key in nail color. OPI and China Glaze are my...
I use the Monistat anti-chafing gel as my go to primer/mattifying gel. A friend told me about it a year ago and at $6 for a tube that lasts a year? I was sold!
I haven't ran across this in the forums and I have to tell you, I am tempted to purchase this entire line by China Glaze.

Retro Press
I found these two sites tonight. The first is the blog for Retro Press:
http://the-retro-press.tjs-labs.com/
Then there is the gallery of graphic design. Lots of different parameters to search with from 1930 to 1969.

We actually are switching this fall. Our leaders are so disorganized, nothing gets done until the end of the year and it's rush, rush, rush. The new one is well organized, but flows gently and they really get to experience what it's all about.
Well, after seeing him drive a golf cart (at 10), I think the road will be a safer place for a little while without him driving. Plus, he made that deal with us when he was a Tiger Cub.
NC has a privilege license that only let's you drive during certain hours. Kinda like an extended learners...
