This was a quick put up that I did recently. Needed to be off my collar (which I don't like) as I was serving tea etc at a Living history event.
But my normally very curly hair had been tamed the day before with straighteners.
Nice thread! We ran the YMCA canteen at RAF Twinwood Farm for about 5 years on the Glen Miller Festival Weekend, you'd be amazed at how picky people are about tea. So we used tea leaves, enamel ware and an original YMCA spoon with a chain attached and bolted to the counter (as they were during...
kiri, dark nights are drawing in! Get thee to a local college and do a basic course..it'll be the best thing you ever did. Honest.
(are dark nights drawing in in Canada?):p
You have a real talent for writing Atticus, made me cry anyway. I like your idea, my dad wasn't a WW2 veteran, just afterwards..but I'd like to think he's also in that hangar.
Lovely tribute.

Is certainly does!! Tell us about it Roxie!;)
I'm v happy with the FoP jeans I ordered, the high waisted-ness takes some getting used to, but I love them now. (although I bought the grey and didn't like the colour so I died them dark navy and all the stitching stayed white which I like, oh...
Thanks Kami and miss N....
Think I need to spend time in the hairdressing confession booth. :o
hairdresser chum is going to come and cut it for me and I'm going to ask her to do the semi permanent treatment you suggested. I can't go to this wedding with this hair! After that I'm going to...
Hi Kamikat,
well it's patchy in colour....lighter at the roots...darker at the ends. It needs a good chop but I can't sit at the hairdressers for a colour at the moment because I hurt my back and can't sit in the chair for too long! So it needs to be a home treatment. It's not breaking, and...
Oh help gals... my hair is a MESS!!!!
My very thick naturally curly brunette hair has been taking a bashing, mainly the sun over the summer. I used a few different reds on it and now it looks dire.
Any ideas for injecting some colour and lots of condition into it? Looks awful and I'm at a...
Most 'blushers' were referred to as 'rouge' no just the cream types. Bourjoir still make a powder version which I love, and am using Max Factors cream version at present.
Perhaps if anyone is going to Goodwood revival they could pick up a card from the leathr bootmaker there? They are about £500 but oh they're beautiful and made to order.
I have seen Burberry's boots and they are gorgeous.

CCTV cameras, real or fake (with a flashing light) should be enough to deter them. I have had this for two years and thankfully, returned to find them moved out!!!!
A sweet letter to the landlord asks them to consider us neighbours next time....(I'm not sure he will)
Good luck, it's bloody...
You inspired me to Google map it on Street view! I love the old streets, Pleasant St with the sweetie coloured wooden boards and big flags on the porches!
Love it. Travelling from my own armchair here in Yorkshire.;)
I think you're very lucky, I love Monsoon's clothing and find the majority vintage inspired. I also appreciate the fact that they have decent sized tops for girls who aren't an A cup!!
Love that cardigan.
