Edward, it'd sure be great to catch up (whatever that might mean in particular ;) ) with fellow loungers. Thank you for the link and the idea about the Ripper tour. Problem is, my aunt does't speak English well. We will be limited to tours with very little talk, so I can translate for her or no...
That looks wonderful and some good places for starting to plan our trip, thank you all for posting! :)
The tilly-blog is very interesting, makes me wanna go even more. Fabrics have become so expensive around here, at least if you want to go to a local store. The only chance to get a bargain is...
The result looks great, Fräulein U.! (and you have very nice curtains, btw ;) )
Thank you for the link to the cutting method.
I always wonder what I do wrong, it seems everybody gets better results than I do. If it's about the cut, the combing, or whatever, maybe I'll never find out.
My auntie invites me to go to London, yay! :bounce:
She's never been to London, and since I haven't been there for about 15 years it'll almost be like a first time for me, too (the town must have changed a lot; and I have changed, too).
I'd be grateful for some advice and tips where to go...
I did it this way for the same reason. Also, I don't think what is said in the link is true, that "it looks better" with the flat side on top.
Anyway, I'll give it a try. As usual, I'll do it the way I like it better, not necessarily the way it's supposed to be done. Little bit of an anarchist...
That's wonderful! I just imagine you playing the sax while you steer a plane. Oh no, you don't have your hands free. So you must be balancing! On top of the bi-plane. :D
I hear "You look older" a lot. I don't really mind, since I actually look younger than I really am; so with the vintage styling I might look my real age.
But I often get the impression that a vintage styling (if it's not a pin-up styling) is usually considered verrry unsexy. Like every woman...
I stopped using a coffee machine, brew by hand instead (the coffee always comes out as a surprise, so far). I also try to use less plastic, which is a sisyphean task.
Never stopped using fountain pens or my 50s (or 40s?) toaster.
When I need some household supply or clothing (except...
It won't be too long that you travel Europe (or at least Germany) and don't see a difference to the US. Well maybe not tomorrow, but we're on our way there. So many people think everything from the US is "cool", "hip", "modern". They give up great parts of our culture, language and more. Ten...
Dawna, that's great! Maybe you could post a picture?
But beware!
(1947)
I'm thinking about wishing for a "bobopen" for my next birthday...
(already hear my sister asking: "What the hell is a bobo-pen?" :D)
GPS
RFID
credit cards
customer loyalty cards (those cards companies give you to "collect" "points", and that are truly only to collect information about you)
everything else that is meant for collecting information on people about their habits, and that's used afterwards to pool "groups of...
Larger. I'm not exactly sure, I think it's German size 52 or 54 (men's sizes are still a mystery to me). Plus, he usually needs the jacket one size larger than the pants, which makes it hard to find something that fits. :p
