    What's your best beauty/household tip?

I often think about how if I were to have children, I'd teach them a ton of tips about being resourceful. My Mother was always big on advising us to, 'Be resourceful.' and it has served me *beyond well* in my life. Now, particularly about beauty... not always the most glamourous tips, but...

    What Are You Reading

Hey Harp! That's almost fightin' words for me, 'cause I'm such a Salinger obsessionist. ;) I actually think Knowles' effort is far more coming-of-age than Catcher, which to me is more about madness and depression than coming-of-age, but that's arguable. You can definitely survey the space...

    What Are You Reading

Just finished 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower,' by Stephen Chbosky. It's a dead sweet book... really lovely and precious. In the vein of 'A Separate Peace,' and other coming of age books. A teriffically enjoyable, warm read. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Chbosky

    Shake up your Wardrobe

I think this kinda goes for ladies too, at least, for me. I have a relatively small (but carefully considered) closet that I simply work *really* hard... all manner of combinations and new ways of looking at things so as to not get bored or repetitive. Someone the other day actually said, "J-...

    What is your expertise?

Wine, relatively. There's always more to know, but it's my profession, passion, hobby, interest, and favorite medium of art. Writing. I'm a brilliant writer, or at least, can be, and I know it obviously. I've been doing it since I was very, very small. It's how I think and encounter the world...

Opinions on H&M cotton khaki suit

This suits you much better, SVB. (Pun intended.) The lighter fabric color and tie choice are smart. I do agree about the buttons -- they make the suit a bit less serious and more casual. Personally, I find them distracting. All in all, a great value though.

Wearing a light colored dress for a night out.

You could pull it off! A flower in your hair, silver/rhinestone or gold shoes & jewelry... I myself love pastels at night in the Summer. It is unexpected and refreshing.
