Many of you might have heard me bleating on about minimising the amount of products I have and getting 'back to basics'. Since I started this process I have been checking the ingrediants list on my products to identify any common ingrediants and anything I can buy a basic version of ..... which...

I just wet my hands and lather up the pears soap, rub over my face-making sure to wash in the crease of my nose and chin- and then wash off with a terry washcloth soaked in lukewarm water (not too hot). I don't need witchhazel in the morning- but I use it at night after I have wiped...
MAC Pro does a white face and body foundation which I use to lighten regular foundation. I also have a white face powder and a pink one. I'm gonna test Illamasqua but i have to wait for a trip to Manchester first as i'm not ordering over the internet withoiut seeing it first.
I was a vegan for many years but I have gone back to eating meat following a shift to a paleo lifestyle (as much as I can).
IF the fur is grown and harvested in a humane way I have no problem with it, as with leather or wool, honey, meat etc. or any other animal product.
I am definatly...

Not to drag this thing completly off topic but my new fella loves 'women'- which is just such a wonderful feeling (I know that must sound odd) It's almost a releif that he adores my vinatge and repro undies, even the frumpy old longline bras. I haven't tried sleeping in rollers...
I love the look - there is a classic photo of Rita Hayworth with an elegant cigarette holder that I love. I love the whole femme fatale thing and many of them smoked in the movies.
BUT- I hate the smell, the taste, I hate the yellow teeth and nail, the smokers cough, the expense and most of...
Thanks Girls
I'll check those stores out. I used to shop at M&S and I got some of my favourite lingerie there but i was put off by the fancier lingerie stores constantly rubbishing M&S.
I am trying to re-build my stock of lacy lingerie as I binned ALL of it a few years ago. It's a long...
Thats what i was told in the store. The products being sold off on offer (chepest item free) and now they are gone entirely form my local stores (Wirral & Liverpool central area- I checked a few stores). But someone on here said they were still in thier local Boots- so maybe it's a regional...
I did a quick search and could'nt find a dedicated petroleum jelly thread.
To explain this I'll give a bit of background.
For years I bought into the cometics industry speil that mineral oil/ petroleum blocked pores and was to be avoided at all costs. Paula Begoun's book opened my eyes to...
If you can't find any, most haberdashers sell them that you can attach with a few stiitches yourself- or you could try brace clips (i'm not sure how they are different from metal garter clips - as they look very similar to me- they may be the same thing- anyone?)
I was looking for a nice...

Unfortunatly in the UK you can't return ANY use cosmetics, not even high end ones, not even MAC. (I have returned MAC unused though) I hear about US gals returning things all the time and feel really jealous. I can't even sell tested products on ebay anymore!
On the topic of eyeshadow- has anyone noticed that Revlon's new Matte eyeshadows are almost perfect dupes for MAC Matte2 collection:
Revlon Vintage Lace = MAC Blanc Type
Revlon Pink Innocence = MAC Pen N pink (Discontinued)
Revlon Luscious Lime- MAC Sunnyspot (regular Matte, not Matte2)...
This is how I see it:
Rockabilly was/is a style with originated with the youth scene in the 50's- so you can't just lable it 50's as not everyone in the 50's was wearing that style. It tends to be more kitsch than say 40's and the colours are brighter. It is definatly a style in it's own...
You can get muslin cloths from Boots and Superdug and they are two layered which makes them quite mild-- they are also hemmed which is pretty BUT for much less money you can just buy a meter or two from fabric shop and cut up sqaures-a single layer is more exfoliating- double it up to make it...
I vote psychobilly too- which is a very fun look.
I am cutrently sitting here in my PJ's sporting cobalt blue shadow (just got MAC Atlantic blue and I'm experimenting) I bet this shade would make for a fantastic psychobilly look. I also like red shadow (MAC passionate and poste haste) which...
