I don't think much of the Boots originals either- the vanishing cream left me like an oil slick by about 2pm- where as ponds vanishing cream keeps my skin velvety all day. Also I found out that I can't stand the scent of rose (or lavender or most other florals) so I'm gonna empty...
They look lovely- just like my vintage ones I have in the garage that are way past thier best.
I have to use trolley cases on holiday though- I like to pack a lot of stuff and I'm not very strong.
Thanks Gracie I'll look into that.
I used the crystal rock for a while but my problem wasn't the odour it was wetness which makes me chaffe under my arms, so it didn't really help.
Thanks for the tip Gracie. I'll try that. The newest MAC setting powder is cornstartch based- though none of the assistants seemed to know that- it's on the ingrediants list of the packaging!
I spoke to my sister about bicarb and she (in her infinate wisdom and many more years down the...
On the subject of toners I thought I'd mention rose water. I bought the boots traditional rosewater & glycerine with the boots traditional cold cream cleanser (which I'm not fussed on but i'll use up). The rose water & Glycerine was sticky and left my skin tacky and greasy feeling. I think that...
If i cook up a load of veggies (stir fried or roasted) I can use them in many ways. I might cook up onions, mushrooms, corguettes, carrots and peppers.
-Add fajita seasoning and chicken (or crumbled feta) and do in wraps or add seasoning to a tin of tomatoes for a sauce (if you are avoiding...
Thanks for that website, it was really informative.
I've now decided to give up antiperspirant and tooth paste. My mum used neither - she used a bi of talc under arms - and she never had any problems. (I know that tlac is supposed to be bad now - but only if you inhale tonnes of it)
My Mum loves old styles and elegance but she can't understand anyone who would actually want to go to all the trouble- she went though it all as a teenager and is much happier with modern ways. She positivly blanched when I showed her my new girdle as she said she was forced into a 'gut-crusher'...
I like touchable hair, so it's a no from me. I love guys with long brushable hair that I can stroke...maybe i should be thinking about geting a cat instead!:)
MAC is discontinuing Studiosticks. Thier colours are supposed to be the same throughout the different formulas but they're not- and the stick foundation is really really pale in comparrison which is great (I use NW15 for pink undertones). I have given up liquid foundation (e.g. Studiofinish)...
I think in that photo I've got no base on - just a dab of MAC studiofinish concealer on my chin and under eyes and a swipe of mineralise powder in light. I was just nipping out to the local shops with my Mum so I did'nt bother with much.
I found that I actually prefer cream/powder...
I have found a place that I trust that use Q-switch lazers for £25.00 a session- and since my tats are black on pale skin I may not need many sessions at all- I just need to convince my beau on it- since I had them when he met me he sees them as part of me-sweet, but ....hmph..
Thankyou Iframe. I too look younger then I am (I'm not far off 34) and I attribute it to avoiding the sun. I walk 3.5 miles a day so i think i get enough vitamin D then- I try to follow a paleolithic style diet (just ate a HUGE bar of chocolate today though- but I rationalise it as okay once a...
I got typed by Prescriptives- they typed me as Yellow/orange- which is way out. I found out later that this was Y/O was the only shade to go down near enough plae enough fvor me. So they sold me the peachy blush, the brown eye shadows and lipstick- and I just looked awful. The make-up was good...
So- I'm finally gonna get a new haircut. At the moment I have a short 1920's esque coal black bob (with out fringe) but I've decided to let it grow and get a middy- similar to Calypso's hair in the Camomile lawn TV adaption (I tried to upload a piccie but think it failed). A quick poll of the...
I was so emgrossed in reading my book the other day that I got on the wrong train and ended up getting at an unfamiliar stop. When I got out of the station I saw a man in full 30's style tweed suit with a handlebar moustache hopping on a pashley- he just stopped and stared at me and looked...
