What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?
I think sometimes it's a trick of the light. The bash looks uneven because of the way the light catches the dimple on one side rather more than the other. It used to bother me, but these days I figure that if it is uneven then it's just adding a bit of character. -

I don't think there's anyone left in the UK who could/would do that sort of work. Or at least not for the amount I'd want to pay! The whole hat 'scene' appears much better for that sort of thing, at least from this side of the pond. -

The campdrafts are a tall hat in comparison. Thats one of the reasons for going for a C crown bash on mine. It just brings the height down more. It was very obvious when I did a C crown on my black Fed. It just seemed like so much less felt to work with. The ribbon work on the Campdraft does... -

I've got a centre crease in my Moonstone Fed and a C-crease in my Campdraft. Such a versatile colour, goes with anything. I'm about to go out in my Fed today. Great pair o' lids there.:thumb: -

I saw someone else do a conversion on a silverbelly campdraft and I really liked it so I splashed out and went for it! My second attempt at a ribbon and bow, my first being about an hour before on my new Fed IV! I'm pleased with it :p I trimmed the brim down to 60mm too to give it more... -
