Thanks gents, while I like the brown one and it may be more versatile, I have more greys and blues in my wardrobe so I think it will get more head time. I think the strong contrast between the felt and the ribbon make it look classier too.
I need to work a bit harder at the jaunty angle to get...
Absolutely agree 100%. Funnily enough, quite by accident I have recently acquired a Campdraft and while I do like it, at the moment I prefer the wider ribbons. I wore my CD on Friday with a jacket and a tie and it was great.
The OR style has a little bit of a western vibe going for it...
It all sounds like great news. A high quality, mainstream produced, felt hat, I hope it sells well.
I'd prefer a wide ribbon hat myself, but I know the thin ribbon is very popular.
I doubt there'll be anyone stocking them here in the UK so it may be another import for me, making it quite...
I love the FedIV, you both wear them well.
Superb, I've got to get a light coloured hat:cool:
Fab looking hat.
A superb hat and I really like the jacket/tie combo too.
The crease looks good to me.
Another three hat day! :eusa_clap Great choices.
I know there's lots of love for the FedIV here so I thought I'd share my latest acquisition, in Moonstone. It looks quite dark due to the overcast day and lack of natural light in my hall.
I absolutely agree. I think it was in these very web pages that I read "better to be looked over, than overlooked"
I've never really cared what others think (I have been described as eccentric by my own mother!), many years ago while wearing a long leather trench-coat (a la The Matrix) I passed...
Joao - Love the colour and bash on the Stetson, but the band on the Akubra is brilliant.
NewJack - That Homburg looks great on you. I really like the colour and ribbon combo.
alan - The ribbon on that hat is superb. +1 on seeing the whole hat.
another +1 for depends on the hat.
I've got center dents with pinches on my fedoras, a centre dent without a pinch on my homburg and a c on my campdraft.
Hmm, I'm now up to five felts and one cap, with another felt on order.
I think I'll stop at that for now, as I've no where to put anymore and swmbo will be having words with me :eeek:
A great hats today, gents.
I almost left the house with a homburg but at the last minute changed to my brown Fed IV.
It stopped raining for a bit and the sun came out. It's quite a mild eight degrees C out so I couldn't resist a quick photo.
Thanks for your kind comments everyone:)
It was darker than I expected too, but it's a great colour and seems to change depending on the ambient light. The pics were taken in my, quite dark, hallway
Another great selection of hats and caps today gents.:eusa_clap
Thank you, all.
Thanks Greg, I agree, it seems such a cool thread, and I want in!
Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome. I'll try to get more pics sorted and join in the fun. I didn't manage one today, way too wet and...
I always check out this thread, it's great and I'd like to join in. I don't have many hats so I won't be able to post here often.
Anyway, nothing special but I wanted to share the first public airing of my new Campdraft!
I've just got my first Campdraft, a Moonstone. A bit of steam used to hold the bash.
I wasn't sure whether I'd taken too much height out of the crown, but I really like it.
