The only place I know of that is a specific hat shop is Lock and co in London http://www.lockhatters.co.uk/ Maybe someone more experienced knows of somewhere else. -

Good tip, thanks Fed. I admit that I do like the 'rough and ready' look of it how it is at the moment. I find it interesting how in a lot of old movies the hat bashes look really 'untidy' compared to how many are bashed these days. -

Absolutely timeless, classic, tasteful and conservative cufflinks?
I wore french cuffs everyday to work for years and have returned to wearing them again this year with my return to some sort of proper dress-sense! Normal cuffs just feel so limp by comparison now. I have a couple of subtle novelty links but mine tend to be fairly subtle affairs - silver metal...- stratcat

My recent fed iv is exactly the same. I just put it down to bouncing around in the box. I'd not given it much more thought 'til I saw your post. I'll have to give mine a brush and a bit of steam to see if it improves things. -
