    Introduction

UK Vintage clothing dealers tend to use vintage for anything that is 20yrs old or more but it's a very loose consensus amongst dealers. Basically it's as valuable a term as 'rare' or 'collectible' are on ebay :)

Ask a question, get an answer

You could try cutting strips of felt from the sort of square that you pick up at craft shops. If you want an adhesive option the draught-excluder foam Hatsdirect supply seems to work okay, I've also seen people use the fluffy piece from the two part strips of velcro you can pick up from...

Which hat for a Noir Movie ?

If it's a pre-80's hat, they were nice hats. The modern ones are re-badged Tonak and not the best quality Tonak, okay hats but not worth the money HJ charge.

David - with West Ham, and it being Christmas, I'll forgive you ;) My fear was it was Aston Villa (I'm a Baggies fan (West Bromwich Albion to less cultured souls ;) ). Rail travel since privatization is bad enough over here at the best of times - good luck to your son!

In the Uk, at least, some shoe repairers will emboss leather with initials for a small fee.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Firstly, I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. Morning hat - Cavanagh (it was dry when I left the house): This afternoon, whilst the Cavanagh was drying I grabbed a conversion project - it was a Bailey fur-felt madison i picked up for very little, but didn't really like, so it's being...
