Probably fairly early 50's - the sweat still has the GA Dunn name which was dropped in the 50's and I don't think the Crown logo was that long lived.

" The Great British Hat Makers "

Robert Heath died in 1903, not 1871. After his death the company carried on (his will had the provision for it to be sold to another hatter). I've seen adverts for Robert Heath hats from the mid 20's, and it may well have carried on until the 50's so the Queen may or may not be Victoria...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Matt - be careful to avoid starting straw riots :) Nice boater. Justin - that looks to be the deluxe model with such a wide white 'brim'. Seasons greetings! g.d. - lovely whiskey colour, and it works well with the trucker.

    I love the Fed IV!!

My advice would be get a friend to measure your head with a tape measure (ideally one that will do mm) where you want the brim to sit. Take the measurement at least three times and use the average (it's surprisiningly difficult to get an accurate measurement!) If you're around 57.5-58 go for a...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Matt - great Knox Cobie - i like the waistcoat, and it's always good to see a bowler. Your wife's hat deserves better photos. Manfred - I'm glad it found a good home. You look great in it. Andy - lovely VS. David - I can see why the Stetson gets plenty of head time. Eric - nice tweed on...

Andy - looks good. Akubras do cope with the rain well. Charlie - That Steel VS is a beauty. How's the shoulder coming along? Joao - we could definitely use your sunshine. Your Nutia might cope with the rain we had today, but probably not with the wind. Dale - nice stingy and the shirt...

    I love the Fed IV!!

Mine are all Imperial felt - as I've only one Campdraft I've only got a small sample to base my judgement on but My 60 Fed feels about 1/2 a size smaller than the 60 Campdraft and the 61 Feds 1/2 a size larger. If I'm a good boy I know my wife has a size 60 Squatter wrapped up under the tree so...

    I love the Fed IV!!

I still regularly wear the 60, I just give it a very slight stretch every few wears - it's snug without, but not overly uncomfortably so. As to the 61's they're still slightly roomy without tape but they've not flown off (I've only had them about 3 months, and are worn as part of a decent...
