A magazine rack? http://www.flickr.com/photos/hawkins-thiel/4429733847/in/photostream/ There are many of this style out there, and in nicer shape of course but, a nice piece of period furniture with vintage mags in it, how can ya miss?
Great images! Thanks for sharing those and the photos of the buildings as they are today! It's sad that they lost their charm over the years, but at least the Monitor Tops they once sold are out there some where still serving someone! ;)
Yes, it seems that most of these places here from the 30s-40s had these types of fridges in mind! The 1940 GE I had was just an inch too wide for that space! But this one fits Perfect!
1st Question: Milk is a display bottle, with foam beads inside. Real milk is inside! ;)
2nd Question: We do...
Well, it's been some time since I've posted anything to this thread... Things have changed quite a bit since I posted this thread here.
Well, since December last year, I saw an appliance store on Rosemead blvd in East Pasadena that was for sale, it's been closed for years now but, as I drove by...
Found this 1930 Regal at Saver's in Tucson AZ last Christmas.
100% complete and original, works however volume control does not operate properly, it's only loud or off but, nothing my buddy can't fix! Set me back a whole $19.99!
You never know what you'll find in a thrift shop... you get...
Golly, even a coffee pot... In the bathroom??? How uncanny! Your thrown room has become a barber shop! Looks really cool though, I must admit. Love the old signs.
Calling WH1, do you read me? Come in, over... Calling WH1, are you there? Over.... Please respond, waiting your reply on Philco... If no reply, I will sell to other buyer.
Not sure if you have checked your messages yet, would love to discuss a deal with you, I will be taking this radio along with some other items to an antique shop tomorrow. Please contact me soon (or anyone interested) about this set.
Thank you.
Any Offers?
The price isn't written in stone, any reasonable offers considered.
Sure would love to see this guy go to a good home, the photos really do not do it justice.
I would like to see it, I think many here in this thread would love to see it... And personally Jish1969, I think you should buy it! And make sure it's safe, and sell it to one of the members here... Old uprights are so neat, especially if they have their original cloth bag... and really old...
Say, that link helped out! I like the mica shade, the last one with the painted detail... very 30s!
Say, Storman113, I recently picked up another bridge lamp, it's some what simular to the one I posted earlier, however, it's not silver, it's a darker aged cast iron or something... it's heavy...
Wish you could too... I'll put a link in a Radio thread to attract some business... I may put it on eBay and see what happens. I hate to sell it but, too many bills demand my attention. :(
