The GE Monitor Top a classic kitchen icon.

Great images! Thanks for sharing those and the photos of the buildings as they are today! It's sad that they lost their charm over the years, but at least the Monitor Tops they once sold are out there some where still serving someone! ;)

Yes, it seems that most of these places here from the 30s-40s had these types of fridges in mind! The 1940 GE I had was just an inch too wide for that space! But this one fits Perfect! 1st Question: Milk is a display bottle, with foam beads inside. Real milk is inside! ;) 2nd Question: We do...

This "sucks"... the Hoover And Other Vintage Vacuum Cleaners

I would like to see it, I think many here in this thread would love to see it... And personally Jish1969, I think you should buy it! And make sure it's safe, and sell it to one of the members here... Old uprights are so neat, especially if they have their original cloth bag... and really old...

Say, that link helped out! I like the mica shade, the last one with the painted detail... very 30s! Say, Storman113, I recently picked up another bridge lamp, it's some what simular to the one I posted earlier, however, it's not silver, it's a darker aged cast iron or something... it's heavy...
