GS, First of all, Welcome to the Lounge! I believe what you have is a vintage Stetson Roy Rogers model. I would guess it is from the 50s, based on the way it's made and considering that was the height of his popularity. Nothing against Stetson ... I'm sure this is a very nice hat ... but... -
John Wayne's Akubra?
Mike, I think my all time favorite slide was a simple piece of antler I drilled a hole through. It looked cool after I worked some shoe polish into it to make it look old, and the weight kept the strap in place, whether I wore it in front or behind. I know what you mean about the horsehair... -
