This isn't art, this is the magic of Photoshop

We used to print them out ourselves at home, but it's much easier to send it out when you need 100 printed, scored and folded.:eusa_doh: It's hard enough to put a little message and address them. I'll just stick to the art.

    Euro vandals in NYC subways

This is because grafitti artists all have a very disinctive style and there are people who keep track of such things. And it would be very uncool for artists to ape someone elses style, and if they did it would be obvious to the "experts".

    who belongs to a Lodge

My grandfather was a Mason. It's one of those things that sounds cool and Golden Era in theory, but the reality is it's not really the kind of scene I'd be interested in. Maybe there needs to be a "Society of the Lounge".;)

    Christmas songs on the radio

This youngster moans now, but when he's 40 he'll look back at those Chistmas Eves at grandma as a very special time. Youth is wasted on the young.:)

    PICK A CAR (pics), 1930s-50s, 1000+ like-new

I want Roy Acuff's tour car! Now that would be a head turner, and I'd have room for all my friends and family to boot!

Welcome! Any fur felt hat is a good hat! There are a couple of interesting threads were someone has turned a cowbow hat into a fedora. And I'm with you on the worker look too. Suits are fine, but I'm almost always in my vintage work boots, cuffed trousers, loop collar shirt and patch pocket...

    Where are you going tonight

Pick a pizza up on the way home, read to my daughter and then work on the Christmas Card. I'll probably squeeze in working on a white elephant gift too. Whoo whoo!

Born at Ft. Eustis, VA in the shadow of the USS Enterprise, then as follows: Upstate NY, Alabama, upstate NY again (my dad worked for IBM which stands for I've Been Moved), Arkansas for college, Kentucky for Armor Officer Basic, Alabama for Rotary Wing Flight Training, and lastly Texas for 12...

    Hat theft! Happen to You?

Don't be so sure. I had a Stetson taken right off my head in the middle of the day while walking down the street in NYC. This was several years ago, but luckily a pretzel vender saw the whole thing and grabbed the kid. He dropped the hat but slithered out off his jacket and took off. The pretzel...

    The Good German

Photos are ok, but would it kill the studios to hire an illustrator every once and a while now days? Just look how much better the illustrations look. What would the Raiders poster look like if they had used photos instead? Not nearly as good, I can guarantee you that. I'm sure this all has...

    Hat Storage Advice

As new people find the Lounge the same questions get asked many times. Maybe there is some way to organize old threads into an encyclopedia of knowledge or something? I know you can search, but personally that never seems to work very well, I always have better luck trying to remember someone...
