Well :D
Yes that is a NOS type 3 Levis from 70's.
Must say that I havent been in UK since 1979...didn't know ex-skins look like me.
And your right, those jeans are a bit too long, but they still have some shrinkage left, and I do ride a bike. Maybe that's an excuse.
I'm just old...
hmmm...
1,5"-2" single cuff, with engineer, for more 50's look you may go for 3" single cuff.
Too wide hem should be avoided
Cowboy boot...let them drop or get bootcut jeans.
With shoes/converse/PF flyers, I prefer smaller cuff 1-1,5", AND quite narrow hem, say only a tad over 8"...
Take the pics wit you to the barbershop....
Well, at least here barbers are still using scissors and comb, and are taught to use those. (My daughter is in scholl to be a hairdresser / barber. They are learning even to give a what we call "american" shave with blade) Ofcourse they use also...
I had those Becks as well with very similar expressions. The heel slop wasn't too bad though. It wa sthat they were nearly impossible to get on.
I bought Wescos, Custom, but standard sized. They are fine, I'd say. I have double midsole in them, so they have still noticeable heel lift. And...
Exactly why I sold mine.
Bootjack makes it easier to get off.
On biketrips I just don't carry bootjack with me, and I can imagine the results of going to "bed" in a tent fully loaded....;-)
If those are same Beck's I had for a very short while, they were nearly impossible to get your foot in. I ended up selling mine after trying them on 3 times. Took ages to get them on and off.
Edit, boots were pretty much unworn, and I don't have specially high instep. Never have had...
With gountlets , yes.
And some old american bike jackets had fur inside of the cuff to keep the wind off....Properly thight cuff with fur keeps wind out of your sleeve pretty nice.
More info on this please. I'm brave enough to try as sending my boots back to Wesco isn't an option from Finland. (This is the only thing that bothers me on my Wescos. The shaft on my boots is quite narrow, so I'm surprised about bikerpoizuns experience....
You don't need any special winter boots on danish climate. Proper leather ankle high boots wit good socks and insulating insole is enough.
Actually you can use there anything, well. maybe not Flip-flops ;)
0°C isn't cold......
