Worf:
If you are ruminating to that degree...........perhaps time for another diversion? Model trains? Beer stein collecting? Baseball cards? ;) (Or, perhaps use them for experiments...HWT....tumble dry in a concrete mixer.... etc., you know the options.)
A bit lacking in length; I agree. That said, if you will wear it, then "perfect." If the jacket will languish in the closet, because the length bothers you; get it to someone who will wear it.

Obviously, I am a huge fan of the Maxwell. Yours looks outstanding; cuff straps are a nice touch. Question, your jacket does not appear to have the same "noticeable" front drop vs. back length, as my coat. Did you ask for the same length; all around?
It is funny, how a 1/4 inch can weigh so heavily upon one's mind. I know the frustration (but for sleeve length); and the satisfaction when all the pieces line up. Tip of the hat to perseverance! Apparently, a trip to the eye doctor is in my future.
For me, the sleeves would be "spot-on." I "lost" approximately one inch in length, during the "creasing" process; perhaps a function of my very long arms.

Understand completely. Perhaps a quiver of three (Maxwell, Teamster and ??????) is in my future! Short, middle and long....I ponder the weight of a FQHH "long" coat for someone 6'4"..................?
wdw:
Very nice! I am enjoying my Maxwell, immensely; your jacket is clearly shorter in torso length than mine. As my Teamster is "in transit" so to speak, a question, what did you find more appealing about the Stockman?
My thoughts....exactly. The poor 1930's fellow, with the resources for only one jacket, likely went the way of the more versatile. Putting hands into pockets....overrated. ;)
My deepest sympathy to you and greatest gratitude to your father for his service to us all. My father, a Marine, left this world far too young. My brother and I have cherished his box of service photos and insignias. I always knew he looked down and "winked" at me, the Air Force Capt; I'm...
Cooperson:
From the perspective of the "vertically challenged," my assessment ......... on final reflection, the 25 1/4 will provide a more practical jacket for now and the future. If you intend this jacket to weather the whimsy of haute couture; the more utilitarian fit shall always...
Interesting. The FQHH on my Maxwell was almost black; it was such a dark brown. For my Teamster, in the sewing process, I asked for the "lightest brown" FQHH in stock. Curious to see what difference there will be. It can never hurt to ask.
