Barnstormer, the last on my Aero "Bucket List!" Short; Maxwell - done. Medium; Teamster - check (breaking it in right now). Long; Barnstormer - next (waiting for the bonus check). For me, that jacket epitomizes the romance of a leather coat. Roguish flying circus pilot, daring big game...
My "two cents;" your better half behind the lens. Mine always has a far "better" opinion of what looks good, bad, ridiculous and exceptional. Who knows where those photos may ultimately land, or who will view them.
Simonc:
Glasses, tie, and jacket....a very nice balance. The button jackets are truly versatile. Dungarees, any chance of extra long inseams, and higher rises?
For myself, the triad of: Maxwell; Teamster; and Barnstormer (the last elusive beast on my list). Damn this forum.....damn those horses......damn the torpedoes, credit cards ahead!! :)
Fanch: I believe it is something about "being on the rack," rather than "off the rack." Amazing how arms can stretch. BTW: what is you experience with Aero FQHH, I believe you once posted your Teamster was a 3 oz weight...
Actually, yes, H.D. Thirty three (33) inches from shoulder to end of cuff. I am looking for a final "post creasing" length of 32. The Maxwell I posted, had sleeves ..... 31. They "creased" to 30. Something about my arms. Obviously, it is never "off the rack" for me. :sad:
Whoa Nellie!!! Whoa!!
For clarity, I love this Teamster! Actually, had it been my first jacket, I question whether I would have purchased another (well, perhaps). I was simply wondering how much variation jacket owners have seen in hides, over the years.
Without fan fare, thank you...
Edward: Yes, labelled "FQHH." No chance of "Storse;" it was just made (expertly, BTW, by Charley). It is as soft and comfortable (only 3 days out of the box), as an old polar fleece jacket.
Robrinay:
How "old" is your goat? The hide looks and folds, just like my new FQHH Teamster.
Appreciate it.
Fanch;
How many jackets? Hats off to you, sir!
One thing I forgot to mention; the Teamster does not creak, squeak or make any noise. Wearing the Maxwell, you can hear me coming down the hall, creaking with every movement. The Teamster is silent. :confused2::confused:
Schitzo; my point exactly. I would hardly describe my Maxwell's FQHH as having any "drape." The Teamster's FQHH, however, acts very similar to cloth, folding and creasing very smoothly and seemingly without any need to "break it in," other than for a more weathered appearance.
Rocketeer...
A question for those with multiple Aero FQHH jackets; how different are the hides? I just received my FQHH Teamster: lovely; outstanding craftsmanship; precise to my unique measurements. However, when comparing it to my FQHH Maxwell, well, they seem like horses of a different color. The...
